Hmmm... Seems familiar. The poster usually sounds more passionate on here than in that video tho :P.

Re: chivalry and pizza
I happen to know that guy pretty well. The pizza is just one example, a piece of the puzzle. In and of itself it seems insignificant but it is the culture surrounding it and what it is an example of that I truly despise.
When I do this, and I know I will, it will be comparable to the lame learning to walk, the blind being enabled to see and the suffocated breathing again. The sky isn't the limit; there are no limits.

Re: chivalry and pizza
Well, if it had been pizza for "gentlemen first", the females in the crowd would not have seen it as "insignificant." Great job, bro! Keep it up.

Re: chivalry and pizza
Bravo Dibs; I have more to say which I will post later because I just got up.
It’s not so much about the misandry of the experience, but your willingness to not bow to taboos.

Re: chivalry and pizza
Why is it insignificant? If you had been told "Whites eat first", would you still feel that being told you had to wait to eat was insignificant?
Is a one degree increase in temperature in pot of water approaching the boiling point insignificant for the frog? What if Rosa Parks had felt that where she sat on the bus was insignificant? People who want to oppress others take advantage of every opportunity they can and see every bit of ground yielded as a sign of weakness on the part of the oppressed and all the more reason to take advantage of them.
First, it's "Men eat second". What's next? Men sit in the back of the classroom? Men park in the back of the parking lot? Men pay more for food at the caf? Where does it end?"Rights for women and responsibilities for men is really license for women, slavery for men, and liberty for neither. " Dylan MacVillain

Re: chivalry and pizza
Well Dibs, now and then I hear a few people make direct examples of the iniquity of racism and feminism. I know feminism itself isn’t a technical prejudice, but these days I find misandry and feminism as interchangeable as racism and Nazism, when officially it was National Socialism.
I often voice feminism and racism in the same sentence to those that will hear me, but through life experience, have noticed sometimes people respond with a little awkwardness. There’s a ring to it that makes me wonder how much of a taboo people consider such a comparison to be. Then there are those that are just plain uncomfortable whenever I press the point that it is a warranted comparison. Personally I find a portion of white people shy away or get unduly defensive, whilst a portion of non white people make capitol of the racism and not consider the comparison I voice.
Personally, I believe any comparison is valid in getting people to realise we got a serious problem with feminism.
What are your views on this observation: at some point in the past racism was what I call a cultural prejudice, then over time it has reduced to a minority prejudice. However feminism is today a cultural prejudice and through the efforts of the MRM and kind, it will one day be a minority prejudice as well.
When in the cultural state, any prejudice is generally upheld by society on mass and even thought of as a virtue by most. Personally, I do believe it helps to get people to consider that feminism isn’t a virtue, but a culturally blind prejudice. When any non-white person voices this observation, I find people are more likely to consider the statement. Have you noticed this?Last edited by Trauma Fried Brains; 1st-March-2012 at 10:20 PM.

Re: chivalry and pizza
I often find that many people will openly condemn feminists but not condemn feminism in and of itself. They also will defend feminist stances. I think that people often want to keep up the appearance of being fair. People in support of feminism won't entertain the thought of it being comparable to racism even though feminism has roots in the KKK. Non-whites often identify more with their race than they do with their gender and feel that things that affect their race are of more importance than things that affect their gender, unless they're women. White males are the selected scape goats so any criticism they make is deemed "racist" or "sexist".
The whole point is to keep us focused on our differences so we don't see the connection.
I think that people's reactions vary. There are a lot of people that silently support what we believe in but won't support it openly. Could being non-white be a factor in whether or not people listen (or pretend to listen) to me? Perhaps but this is inconclusive since in my experience speaking poorly of feminism has gotten me labeled a misogynist sometimes and other times people have agreed with me. Sometimes I think people don't expect me to know what I'm talking about neither. When I do this, and I know I will, it will be comparable to the lame learning to walk, the blind being enabled to see and the suffocated breathing again. Re: chivalry and pizza
what would you say is the biggest issue men have?
dealing with the misandry and second class status that men have to endure while women are given the pass over and over in all walks of life is surely a major but broad concern that impacts in a multitude of seemingly minor but in total very major ways..
challenging that on all fronts is needed if some of the more "obvious" major ones can also be challenged I would say..
the "females first" attitude seems to pervade most areas of concern for men..
most women are quite happy for men to have a say and a choice too, after women have been catered for of course..
most women are very happy for a man to raise his children..
when the women doesnt want to or has shown herself unable to do it..
if its working well, let the woman have it, ladies first..
when the woman breaks something, it is then that men are expected to fix it.. usually after a man has been blamed for the woman breaking it..
in exchange for mens "excess abilities to work and serve", women can provide the things that they have more of.. such as abilities to produce children, or whatever..
a fair deal?
perhaps a bit of gratitude is all that most men would want in return..
i remember watching something on the idiot box many years ago, where a tribe in africa was having a good feast..
the hunters of the meat ate last of all..
indeed, that was probably the best way, that would ensure that they brought enough home to feed everyone in the tribe, not just themselves..
looking at the state of the modern western women.. it would not do them much harm to have a few thousand calories a day less for a year though eh?"Women...

Re: chivalry and pizza
Kinda like what Dylan says though. Now women get the pizza first and next it could be the lifeboats... oh wait...
