bloke wins sex discrimination case !

Lawyer axed by firm too scared to sack his pregnant colleague | Mail Online

Law firm unfairly axed male lawyer because it feared discrimation claim if it got rid of his pregnant colleague

an interesting quote in the comments thread :

I am a former Eversheds partner and the firm, to be fair, has always been very risk averse. The reality is that you just can't sack a woman who is pregnant or you end up facing punitive awards. They therefore took the least risk option and got caught out by a lawyer who is clearly so savvy he should have been kept on anyway.

Excellent news. I see from the other comments the public are largely seeing the 'sex discrimination laws' as female weapons to put men at a disadvantage - for the most part, which I tend to agree with, like most gynocentric laws are.

The most offensive thing you can do to a feminist is treat her with FULL equality.

Yes, there were quite a few encouraging comments, from women too !!

    Good!

It is about time that blatant discrimination against ALL white men stopped!

    NOW!

The totally racist equality bill which is due to come into force on October, 1st should also be scrapped. If it isn't I look forward to seeing many white men able to sue and be compensated for out right institutional racism and sexism set up by a crazed equality minister of the last government!

It is nice to see a man winning for a change.

Women want equality - well to have that fully we need to stop suing every time someone accidentally hurts our feelings. How on earth can someone earn 'full marks' when they are not at work just because of their sex. This is discrimination against men and must be stopped or it will put equality back years.

    Oh and I am female.

Well, its a nice surprise to see a man win a sex discrimination case for a change.

If you ask me, men are very badly treated in modern Britain. Women's Lib was about treating everyone well and with respect, not trying to push a female agenda by weighting things heavily and unfairly against men.
