'why in this 21st century is are girl babies still being killed in favour of boys'

I presume they are talking about China here.
They forget that only women have abortions and only women have to the choice to have an abortion.
But yet feminists try and blame society (and as a result, men) for womens choice to abort many baby girls!

Besides, feminists never usually care about all the babies that are killed by abortion, apparently they only give a damn when baby girls are killed. Surely proof that they think girls are more important. Not only that, was it not feminists who wanted abortion on demand? They should have realised there may have been consequences such as this.

Also, in China, I believe there is over 40 million more men than women. Many of those men will probably have a crappy life. It surely cannot be good for a society to have that many more men than women.

Well China has that many men and more now and Syria has 21 hydro-electric damns able to shut the River off for weeks which would allow an army to cross. Things always fall into place.
