probably plenty. However we see alot of it here in the US towards men as well, even more since policemen have campaigned against people taking photos/videos of police in action because they say its bad publicity.

Well stop beating and harassing innocent people

since they came out against it there has been a boom of people making videos and things online and a handful of articles as well. Anything people can get their hands on they will.

i didnt hear about that one. but if all they did was push a kid out of a wheelchair i wouldnt expect much either. Its a terrible thing to do and unethical but idk if it goes directly against any policy. A man would still get a worse sentencing though

but that doesnt make things much better any sentence saying something along the lines of "all they did was push someone out of a wheelchair" is not something you want to come out of your mouth

Cops do have a habit of blundering without always weighing up the circumstances! What provoked that cop who pushed that guy at the G20 protest from behind when the poor bloke was walking home and away from the cop at the time he subsiquently died of a heart attack and the police appeared to relish the confruntation they, in the main, had provoked that weekend!


Looks like he had his hands in his pockets to me too!!

Keir Starmer, the Director of Public Prosecutions, admitted the riot officer, Pc Simon Harwood, had assaulted the newspaper vendor, but a six-month time limit for bringing assault charges had lapsed.

He added that an “irreconcilable conflict” between differing medical opinions on what caused the 47 year-old’s death meant that there was “no realistic prospect” of a conviction for the more serious charge of manslaughter.

Mr Tomlinson’s death was investigated by the Independent Police Complaints Commission, which handed its findings to the CPS last August, well within the time limit for assault charges to be brought.

Its report backed a manslaughter charge and a source said that was what they expected to be brought. Mr Starmer said that as manslaughter was being considered, no assault charges could be brought at that time.

Mr Tomlinson’s family called the decision disgraceful and accused the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) of being part of “a big cover-up”. Pc Harwood, 43, has faced two previous disciplinary procedures for alleged aggressive behaviour. He remains suspended from the Met and could now face disciplinary charges.

Mr Tomlinson was walking home through crowds of G20 demonstrators on April 1, 2009 when he appeared to be struck with a baton and shoved to the ground by Pc Harwood. He collapsed and died minutes later.

An initial post mortem examination suggested he had died from natural causes. But when video of the incident emerged, a second was ordered. It concluded he had died from internal bleeding.

Mr Tomlinson’s stepson, Paul King, said: “After 16 months we’ve got nothing. No charges, no answers and we’ve got to go home to no dad. It’s outrageous. We feel like it wasn’t a full investigation from the beginning.”

The family’s solicitor, Jules Carey, said that a public inquiry should be held to discover whether the failure to prosecute was down to “a lack of will or incompetence”.

Mr Starmer said a manslaughter charge could not be brought because the pathologist who conducted the first post mortem examination, Dr Freddy Patel, had concluded that death was caused by coronary artery disease.

Dr Nat Cary, who carried out a second examination concluded that Mr Tomlinson fell on his elbow, which “impacted in the area of his liver causing an internal bleed which led to his death a few minutes later”.

A third examination concurred. But the conflict with the first made it impossible to prove a “causal link” between the alleged assault and Mr Tomlinson’s death, said Mr Starmer. Dr Patel is suspended from the Home Office register.

Last night, Dr Cary said Mr Tomlinson’s wounds supported a charge of actual bodily harm (ABH) and the CPS had been wrong to dismiss the injuries as “relatively minor”.

“He sustained quite a large area of bruising. Such injuries are consistent with a baton strike, which could amount to ABH … If that’s not ABH I would like to know what is.”

Mr Tomlinson’s widow Julia, daughters Sam and Stephanie and stepsons Paul and Richard King met Mr Starmer after the decision was announced.

The family is now looking into a private prosecution.

Cops kill a man and get clean away with it... Cop HURTS a woman and gets jailed for six months and loses his job. I wish the family of this man the very best in their case.
