Anyone played this? My husband got it or me for Christmas since he knows my penchant for RPGs. It sounds really good. I just started it last night, so far it looks really interesting.
"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do." - Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird http://equalbutdifferent.blogspot.com/

I'm not too far into it yet, but so far, I think it's amazing. The world is MASSIVE. More so than I've seen in any other RPG. I've already got more missions than I know what to do with. There are a lot of neat little details, like that when you drop objects, they stay where you drop them, dead bodies don't disappear and they actually are affected by the environment around them (like a goblin I killed in an area with fire and lava became charred over time), the non-player characters have A.I. and continue with tasks whether you're there or not. So far I love it. Of course, this is coming from a huge RPG fan. My husband won't play it because it's way too involved. He likes to be able to point and shoot.

I haven't tried it. I looked it up, though and it does look really good. I'll have to give the demo a try. It's good online. Me and my mate played it for hours.

I don't play those sort of games, but I fly. Flt Sim. I have flown around the world in a Learjet 45 (real time, virtual aircraft of course) landing and stopping or rolling (touch and go) or overshooting (full approach and break off over the threshold) at over 300 airports and fields. (took me 6 weeks). I have hundreds of hours on the 747-400 and fewer but still many on the 727 and 737. I fly a Cessna 172 for slower fun. I have landed at night in Quito (friggin' difficult) and at La Paz - the highest field in the world at 13,313 ft. (the runway is about the same length). and rolled on the grass at the St Genevieve Flying Club by the Mississippi (bit longer than a cricket pitch). (I exchanged several pleasant emails with them about the incident). I have flown in all weathers and conditions, even landing on ice in Antarctica. Its great skilled fun. Goblins may be difficult to deal with but you try taking care of 400 passengers in a huge thunderstorm at night trying to get into Istanbul, coming in over the Golden Horn. My Chief Stewardess, Miss Wee Cute Bum, gets quite apoplectic when drinks are spilled and the trolly runs away. I have tried all my life to leave the place better than I found it. But there are 6 billion other buggers out there messing it up. I am outnumbered. But... YOU don't just make a difference, you make THE difference. ![]()

Bloody hell percy I wish I could go on a flight with a stewardess called Miss Wee Cute Bum! Flight Sims were never my thing but I've been told that if your into flying and planes you have to give em a shot.

![]() While you are at it, can you do something about the Controllers in Bolivia? And in Addis Ababa if you have a moment or two. Oh, and there is a Learjet nose-wheel to pick-up at Keflavik AB. Multi-task if you have to.
