Hm it has to do with German language and can only be hard translated. Most words in Germany have a genus which is sth like gender but not really. It can be seen in the fact that we have 3 words for the English word "the".

Der - male
Die - female
Das - neither

The problem is that a lot of these really have nothing to do with gender. But feminist are putting gender in it. For example a lot of names for jobs have a male genus so feminist force us to add a female name to them too.

So previously it was:

"Liebe Mitarbeiter"
"Dear workers"

Which becomes

"Liebe Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterinnen"
"Dear workers and workeresses"

or worse totally butchering the German language with this:

"Liebe MitarbeiterInnen"
"Dear workersEresses"

some bullshit like this. In the above example by speaking this you would now only have the female wording (Mitarbeiterinnen) so feminist suggest to add a pause or a click noise to it.

"Mitarbeiter *Click* innen"
"Workers *Click* eresses"

Totally nonsense only because they don´t see the difference between gender and genus.

I can recall those long distant days when 'gender' was a grammatical term for just that sort of 'foreign' word distinction, Feckless. The distinction doesn't exist in 'English' usage.

Gender had nothing to do with sex, back then.

(An aside: I always did like those long German word constructions (especially the English parody versions) such as 'Built like a Grossenblackerbrickenshiesenhouser'.)

I am not sure but I think the longest English word is Antidisestablishmentarianism.

Mind you, there are likely to be some medical terms that are as unwieldly.

English words have connected prefixes and suffixes which 'operate' on the main word, but little else. Even that word above ought to have a dash (-) after the 'anti', as it is a double prefix (anti, and dis) which is usually a nono.

The seperate words in 'Airplane-wing-light-lamp-bulb-glow wire', without the dashes, but with commas would serve as a phrase as it is but not as one long word.

In the military, in Nato, we had descriptions for every possible item, that started with the main noun followed by descending adjectives galore, and a number. Everything, including people, had a number (except Officers over Colonel -equivalent) rank. So a button on a Mess kit shirt would be: Button, shirt, front, white, uniform, dress, Mess, Men's, RAF, Officer's for the use of: Nato Standard No B/197/44/678/a/00/GB/v

Only God, the SWO and the corporal in the clothing store knew what the numbers meant. (and I am not so sure about God). (and I made that number up for descriptive purposes)

To be fair you can add a dash in Germany, too (if the writer intends too).

Oh I don´t think God knows. But there is usually one guy who has been there so long he is considered as part of the inventory (and usually knows everything). God usually has good connections with those guys.
