I don't usually like these videos much because - well, they're crap.

Fun and informative, I had a bit of a chuckle watching this video. One thing I think is a problem however is the assertion made that shaming language is only employed by feminists. The way I see it generally is anyone of a liberal bent or 'politically correct,' attitude will use it, and those who are not actually involved with ideas like that or feminism but who espouse them use it in their defence. Issues like race, poverty, the nanny state, etc - all defended by shaming language very frequently. Also allot of non-feminist women are quick to use it however the worst I've personally seen comes from feminist-minded men and manginas who have yet to realize the truth. These people resort to shaming language more swiftly and savagely than do any other group in my experience. Also it should be noted how shaming language is particularly effective against men, particularly those of a conservative or traditional attitude and particularly Caucasians since our society largely maligns this group; it is the one demographic whom one may attack in racial or sexist tones without censure therefore they are subjected to attack frequently in pop-culture. When little boys grow up constantly being told something is wrong with them, this leaves them very vulnerable to the sort of shaming language opponents of conservatism or traditional attitudes use.

It's very hard, conversely, to shame a woman because culturally women are made to feel as though they can do no wrong. When the entire world is telling her 'you're right, you go girl!' it's not going to cause her much concern to have her character impugned by some lowly male.

Dad Savage, you're right, feminists are not the only ones to use such tactics, but I find that it's their only tactic whenever anyone disagrees with them or calls them on their crap. Although I've witnessed others use them, it's mainly feminists/women I've witnessed using shaming tactics.

It's possible to some extent. For instance the famous misandric statement "All men want is sex" can be retorted by "Maybe you have little else to offer".
