Oh good grief, they awakened radical feminist Katharine Whitehorn from her cobwebbed crypt, to reinforce some chauvinistic junk science that was quickly debunked some weeks ago. For any non-UK members, the Guardian newspaper is a pro-socialist/feminist rag. I mean, Polly Toynbee, the human turd is a columnist there.

My response:

James Flyn gives away his agenda somewhat when he decries how women "were disadvantaged in the past." Any so-called 'study' from a leftist professor in political studies (a hotbed of revisionism & junk science) has to be approached with skepticism. And if the benchmark for intelligence is Trivial Pursuit, given how many of the questions comprise of vacuous mind-numbing subjects like celebrities and pop culture, it's hardly surprising women will have an advantage. It's reason why Flyn is conveniently bypassing any peer review & publishing the 'data' in his new book. It's just peddling a fraud to shore up women's fragile sensibilities by appealing to their insatiable chauvinistic thirst. I bet he's keeping his fingers crossed that pandering to women will be sexually rewarded! IQ is also about transferring it into productivity, practical functions and inventions etc. Very few women can manage that even with the crutches of the state & private enterprise bending over backwards to accomodate them.

Are they REALLY trying to say that an entire sex is always better again? What hogwash...women are *usually* better at some tasks, men are *usually*better at others, but there are always mold breakers. Instead of pitting us against each other again, why can't they "report" on something real or actually newsworthy?

Thing is, stoking the gender coals is bread and butter for many untalented journalists. And pure divisive joy for the ideologues! It wouldn't pay to write a positive piece how the sexes can unite, appreciate one anothers differences and coexist happily.

Going to class, taking notes, studying shit, memorizing shit, spitting shit out again for a test, and getting good grades is NOT a measure of intelligence. It's a measure of being good secretary material. Most men can't hack that crap, because they have a creative, inventive instinct and want to make things and improve things. We want to discover new things. Women just like to organize things, talk on the phone, and take notes. Hence female secretaries and male bosses, inventors, entrepreneurs, etc.

I got fantastic grades every year, and I have to agree with you...about 90% of it was just being awake & repeating back the crap that the teachers wanted to hear. Even honors and AP courses were like this, though to a smaller degree. I guess that's why the Tech and Art classes were always my favorite...no "one right answer" there, and definitely hands on!

I'd make a horrible secretary, I'm so glad I get to sell games and comics.
