Ginger Crowel and Laurie Sandel (both of whom, not surprisingly, are women) churn out the usual misandrist literature over a holiday via MSN Lifestyle. While it is commendable for them to have a 'mens lifestyle' set of pages for men as they do for women, the content is less than reassuring. Assuming that all men do nothing but sit on the couch and watch football until the 23rd of December, we have been given the Men's Guide to Lazy Online Holiday Shopping, and assuming that we aren't capable of doing our own thinking, we have been given the ubiquitous 27 Laws of Shopping for Women, including the natural 'men are dogs' reference:

'27. Perform due diligence. Next time your girlfriend is paging through a magazine, listen to her instead of nodding vacantly. Ask to see the item she's drooling over. Make a mental note. Fetch.'

FTA: "But let's be honest, that's a lot of work and you have football to watch, food to eat and buddies to hang with. Here's how to do it all without leaving the warm confines of your office. You can thank us later." Um, no, I'm not going to thank you later. I don't have football to watch. I don't have buddies to 'hang with'--I term I have almost never used in my life. I'm fairly confident that I can fit eating into my schedule. In fact, I've bought all my gifts long since, thank you very much."
