Man drought confirmed in New Zealand
Yup,
It's that time again, when the local media try shaming men into marriage:
From Stuff:
The rest of the article can be found HEREWomen, it's not just a man drought, it's a man desert.
The Sunday Star-Times created our own Fella Filter to turn the deluge of statistical data into some cold hard facts and they are not pretty reading.
In the whole country there are only 24,000 men in the prime marrying slot. These men are straight, single, have no children and earn at least $60,000 a year. They have their pick of at least 50,000 single women, aged 25-39.
The comments make for interesting reading.

Are these screeching ----s that desperate?Last edited by Zuberi; 9th-October-2011 at 02:11 AM.
Greed is for amateurs.
Knowledge without wisdom is a load of books on the back of an ass.
Scorn and mockery towards men in need is one of the reasons feminism is dying as we speak!.

And just how many of these 50,000 women are straight, have no children and earn a $60k pa income? These men are straight, single, have no children and earn at least $60,000 a year. They have their pick of at least 50,000 single women, aged 25-39.
Four? Five?

Re: Man drought confirmed in New Zealand
I have met a few NZ wimyn and from my observations they are versatile; those men of the 24000 did their hard yards to attain that level of income - such objectivity needed to acquire it explains their eschewing the 50 000 who are green-go reducing agents

Re: Man drought confirmed in New Zealand
Exactly. Why only high income earners are counted and "eligable"? The rest "dont count?" Does a happy home mean two people must be high earners? Why be a high earner - what if you own your own home/land and dont need to work hard to make a mortgage, but care about other things apart from money, like family, kids, self improvment outside placing a dollar against your self worth?
Perhaps a reason for the "drought" is that men who are working hard and simply delay marriage?
But the article I think really misses the point. From what I have heard of NZ, the family laws there are very draconian, thus are we
really witnessing a "marriage strike" and blaming men for this? The greatest enemy of the truth is very often not the deliberate lie - but the persistent, persuasive and unrealistic myth that the lie creates

Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

Your right Marx, but how many times do we keep saying the same thing !
I just had an idea, perhaps someone could make a glossary or dictionary ie
Media/Feminists say MRA's say
Man/husband shortage Marriage strike
This might be a shorthand way or getting our message across, and far better than writing to the newspaper/ journalist with a 20 line reply.
Its just an ideaThe greatest enemy of the truth is very often not the deliberate lie - but the persistent, persuasive and unrealistic myth that the lie creates

Re: Man drought confirmed in New Zealand
The title of the article "Men Outnumbered but still Picky" says it all, The evul menz standards are too high!
Gee, and all along it thought it was the women who had near impossible standards
Symptomatic of our current society, Women with a near impossible list of qualifications for a future husband. Men saying "NO" to marriage because of the enormous risk they would have to accept that their earning and wealth would be attached at the drop of a hat if they married and then divorced.
It's about money, men want to keep what they earned, women want to keep the men's money too.
It's about impossible standards set forth by women, but these standards are malleable if the man is wealthy.
It's about men not wanting to support another man's children to 18 years of age, married or not.
It's about men doing the only thing they can in a society with such draconian family court laws, men simply refuse to marry.
It's about women demanding it all and then some.
It's about men saying "NO", a phrase often repeated "NO means NO", but only if a woman says it to a man.
It's about NZ being destroyed from within by feminism.
It's not about the men, It's about the women with their 100 point checklists and outrageous demands of their future husbands.
Sorry ladies, and I say that lightly, Prince Charming isn't available. He's either working the docks at $18 per hour, or has a career that takes priority in his life. Some fairy tales come true, but in this case the evil witch has won and given apples poisoned with feminism to most of the girls and women.
Prince Charming? Well, he's off doing his own thing.
This response to the article pretty much sums it up:

My wife and I will be encouraging our son to pursue a long term relationship with a lady from practically anywhere but NZ when the time comes.
The NZ state of mind has been corrupted by the baggage of social engineering and unrealistic expectations of the vast majority of the female population.Last edited by The Possible Human; 9th-October-2011 at 11:35 PM.

Re: Man drought confirmed in New Zealand
You know, the thing with those unreasonable checklists is that those women themselves aren't quite living up to a comparable checklist either.
Simply said, men are only good enough when they life up to unreasonable expectation (of which money is the most important), yet every women is good enough by virtue of being born female.

Re: Man drought confirmed in New Zealand There is misandry in them thar hills:
And yes, this is why this wimmin is still single.AH #42:
Agreed Clare. The article should be titled 24,000 hopeless, butt-ugly geeks aren't worthy of a relationship. There are plenty of 'men' in this country, but a large proportion of them are pathetic examples of the gender. Short, ugly, fat/skinny, circus freaks with no style or social skills seems to be the norm.
Gee, imagine if a guy went on there and said that about the current fare here in NZ?
At the end of the day, no man wants that baggage laid on him, it ALWAYS seems to be the women that think they have to settle for second best (in HER opinion).
To speak out of school (although I shouldn't really), in the last few weeks of my Fire Service career, there were a spate of Private Fire Alarm calls around town here, at popular bars on Saturday nights/Sunday mornings.
One morning at about 1am, we got sent to the Shed (which had been evacuated, as per normal).
You should have seen the likes of it (maybe I'm getting old), but there were young (and not so young)women there that were in various states of dishevelledness, (let me put it that way).
One drunken woman (she was at least in her 30's) grabbed my arse and said "I've always wanted to screw a fireman, take me home to bed", with that she fell over on the ground and started crying.
Another woman down the street (sort of) had dropped her underwear and was urinating quite profusely on the pavement.
Yeah, this is the women we are supposed to be marrying, such great self-control shown there.
I think to a degree, that the $60K idea comes about because no woman these days would ever enter a relationship with a guy that she couldn't screw through the Family Caught.
I mean, he's probably got a nice house and a car, all prime targets for the divorce proceedings.
What SHE brings to the party is never in question.
