How do I know its true...?
After reading nearly every post in this forum a question popped into my head, it may be a very simple question that has been asked here before, but I've read threads that claim that Jack the Ripper may have been female, and my question is this:
How do I know I can trust these statistics/reports/essays?
The reason why I ask this is because I've also read alot of feminist and incredibly misandryist propaganda and they contain alot of statistics that 'prove' that men are somehow inferior to women.
Just a thought, and I thought I'd ask here since I've been very welcomely invited to ask any questions that I may have

Re: How do I know its true...?
You can't. You'll have to use your judgment.
The posts can be divided into expression of emotion, of opinion, and statements of fact. In the case of factual information, if no link to a respectable source is provided, you'll have to exercise caution. Although few people here will deliberately lie, the emotion involved can make the viewpoint slanted.
There's a wealth of information here, but when it comes to hard evidence, this forum is best seen as a starting point for research, not an ultimate reference.

Thank you for your advice, I will exercise caution when referencing to stats and make my viewpoints as unbiased as I possibly can.

I don't think you need statistics to prove that men aren't inferior to women....simple common sense ought to do it.The reason why I ask this is because I've also read alot of feminist and incredibly misandryist propaganda and they contain alot of statistics that 'prove' that men are somehow inferior to women.
"Every noble impulse, every unselfish expression of love; every brave suffering for the right; every surrender of self to something higher than self; every loyalty to an ideal; every unselfish devotion to principle; every helpfulness to humanity; every act of self-control; every fine courage of the soul, undefeated by pretense or policy, but by being, doing, and living of good for the very good’s sake—that is spirituality." -David O. McKay
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12

Re: How do I know its true...?
I study jack the ripper almost as a strange hobby, and Ive not really found any evidence to support jack the ripper being a woman, Ive got my money bet on a man named James Kelly, if he was Jack the Ripper we will know for sure in a few years when Scotland Yard releases the records they have on him.
James Kelly was a mentally unstable man who had a habit of fucking hookers, he eventually got a STD, but in his rage blamed his wife for giving him the STD, he then killed her, vanished for a few years, and I guess he went around killing all the hookers he fucked thinking maybe he could find out which one had the STD, remember this was in victorian times when medical science was still be experimenting with.
there hasnt really been anything to support jack the ripper being the female, and I think there is some evidence that goes against it, I think people just like to the thought of a infamous male figure turning out to be female for some strange reason, who knows.
