Girls and sport: Schools urged to make PE more attractive to girls
BBC News - Girls and sport: Schools urged to make PE more attractive to girls
My bet is that they're going to make PE much less appealing to boys. After all, isn't catering to women/girls what "equality" is?
But wait a minute... didn't feminists say that gender is a social construct? If that is the case, couldn't girls just be socialized to like male activities?Schools are being urged to introduce more female-friendly fitness activities such as Zumba classes and rollerblading because so many girls are opting out of exercise.

Re: Girls and sport: Schools urged to make PE more attractive to girls
it's all the boys fault apparently:
Grubby changing rooms and embarrassment at getting sweaty in front of boys mean PE lessons are putting girls off exercise for life | Mail Online
they should be made to sit in a darkened room, well out of sight of the precious princesses. it's the only way the oppression can be stopped dammit!
always remember lads - never look your master in the eye. you look at the floor, in deference.

Translation: Emasculate more boys so the girls can feel slightly better about they're alleged miserable existence.
Roger that!
Greed is for amateurs.
Knowledge without wisdom is a load of books on the back of an ass.
Scorn and mockery towards men in need is one of the reasons feminism is dying as we speak!.

Re: Girls and sport: Schools urged to make PE more attractive to girls
My 3rd daughter is a superb sports woman, good at basketball, athletics, skiing, pretty much everything, best in her school and wins everything she does as well as being an excellent opera singer.. My 8th daughter is 13 years younger but already is way ahead of every other person in her class at sports (boys and girls), she won every event at the school sports day for her year..
Both their mothers are fat toxic idle feminazis so the only reason for their sporting excellence is down to one vital factor..
Good genetics from daddy!!
Neither of them required any special encouragements of any kind from school, though I have to admit, daddy did ensure they were well fed on a healthy diet, and had opportunities to enjoy excercise and the mothers were controlled strictly during pregnancy to ensure a healthy womb environment..
The main reason kids are rubbish at sports is because their mothers feed them shite, so they are lardy and lazy and have no interest in competing in things they find it hard to enjoy.
Added after 7 minutes:
Girls enjoy swimming very much, ice skating, and many other sports. Jumping in muddy puddles, playing hide and seek, the teachers at school need to use their imaginations a bit, which is probably beyond most of them, but kids, boys or girls, need to be able to choose from a variety of sports to find which suits best.. Schools are probably not the best place for it anyway as they tend to be very lax on physical excercise, prefer to stuff the childrens heads with indoctrination for the maximum length of time they can..Last edited by felixblue; 6th-May-2012 at 03:21 AM. Re: Girls and sport: Schools urged to make PE more attractive to girls
When I was at school , I was crap at sports . I was subjected to ritual humiliation by the games teacher . His fvourite punishment was to make the slow kids run the gauntlet of footballs being thrown at them by the rest of the group .
I detested P.E and games ,and was glad when I left the hell-hole that was called school .
One more thing .
I am male , so I don't count for anything

My sports-life was pretty much the same, sealion. I got to the point I'd just make any excuse up to get out of PE.

Re: Girls and sport: Schools urged to make PE more attractive to girls
When I was a lad, team sports where out of bounds because I was banned from them, something to do with foul launguage.. I spent most of my time on the side lines with the folks who couldn't do sports for medical reason, or just hated sports at school.. I got to know what their perspective was and it was basically, they found sadistic sports masters to be the pits..
I discovered a special talent I had when a sports freak came in from another school to teach us athletics stuff..
This chap was a good high jumper, so made us all do the high jump..
Which involved jumping over a metal bar, then landing on it and hurting your ankles, usually.. for most folk..
He was very confident, and a damned sadist..
He was pleased when the bar got to 1.4 meters and everyone other than me and him had been knocked out..
Then it went to 1.5 and he started getting worried..
The other lads where laughing at him as the lanky streak of nasty piss (me) was sneering at him while hopping over the bar with ease..
He failed spectacularly just before 1.7 meters..
The roars of laughter from the lads where priceless..
He wanted to stop there, but I wanted to see how High I could jump..
I went a few notches higher over 1.7..
Of course, I was then pressganging into the sport by the school but did nt want to do the training..
My best jump was 1.93 meters, over my own height of course, but I was beaten by someone (I still maintain he was taking the sport too seriously with his special shoes etc..)..
I was very pleased to learn that I had actually jumped higher than the UK high jump record..
(For women..)..I started out an optimist, but nothing turned out right..
Then I became a pessimist, but thats a life of shite..
I sucked at being a realist, 'cos folks will always fight..
So now I'm saying "fuck this shit!" I'd rather sleep at night!!

I knew a couple of girls who were pretty lazy. When we did floor hockey in gym class, they constantly opted to sit out and wanted to me to go up as a replacement for the both of them.
How many teen aged girls are interested in Zumba? If they want dancing lessons, they should enroll in dance classes outside of school.RIP "Lyle Stevik"

Re: Girls and sport: Schools urged to make PE more attractive to girls
Glad I wasn't the only one who hated P.E. Most lads' favourite 'subject'; my WORST 'subject'. The two most offensive letters in the alphabet. I don't know if it was the fact that, if you were naturally not very blessed at the subject, you were still thrown in with lads in the process of having professional sports trials, so as to feel even more crap; or how the P.E. teachers seemed to hate you, if you were crap, and seemed to make fun of you as much as did the better kids; or how P.E. teachers didn't do much in the way of actually TEACHING, assuming that everyone knew the rules to every sport already; or how you were forced out in the middle of an English winter, wearing shorts and a thin top, or even a vest.
If anything did my self-esteem bad, while I was growing up, it was P.E. My memories of football (soccer!) were standing on a pitch, not sure what the position someone had shouted at me to go in, meant, and hoping the ball came nowhere near me; and when it did, I would stand there aimlessly, whilst the others on my team yelled at me to pass it to them, before someone on the opposing team invariably got it off me before I'd even had a chance to get my bearings.
Rugby? Even more confusing; I might as well have been on acid, for all I understood about what was going on around me.
Running? A little better; just RUN in the direction of the crowd, then the few in front, then the few in the distance, then enjoy your own company, for the last half of the run......much better!
Yes, the way P.E. is taught in schools is one of my gripes, that's for sure. I come from a very unsporty family, and my mum, although strict about school in general, would write me notes, saying I had orthodontist appointments, when I had P.E. (I had a brace, for years).
Anyway, back to 'MRA' mode, and off 'bitter' mode..................what are they going to do to make ACADEMIC SUBJECTS more attractive to BOYS, seeing as they're here equating a lack of enthusiasm and prowess with the need to do something about it.....?"There are lies, damned lies, and there are feministic statistics". Myself
"Behind every bitch, is a FEMINIST who made her that way....". Myself

Home school. No P.E.

I liked PE, especially badminton. The highest mark I got was B at 74%.

Which means nothing in the whole scheme of consumerist things.
Tell you what Poke, you more than excel in what really matters in life and you have my vote every time.
You come across as a really decent human being, which is priceless in my book. Positive things can be built upon this theme.
Furthermore, how do you enforce an institutional activity or not?Last edited by Celtic Druid; 13th-May-2012 at 06:30 AM.
