Another "Super Bowl Sunday" Myth

The Feminists/Misandrists/Man-ginas and CNN are at it again... spreading another myth. This time the myth is that "Girls equal to boys in math skills". This is a lot like the "Super Bowl Sunday" myth. The Super Bowl Sunday myth said that Super Bowl Sunday is "the biggest day of the year for violence against women". The myth was started in 1993 when the Feminists/Misandrists called a press conference three days before the Super Bowl and falsely announced that "Super Bowl Sunday is the biggest day of the year for violence against women". The Feminists/Misandrists then went on national talk shows two days before the Super Bowl, and repeated the same false claims. Feminists and Man-ginas ran national newspaper articles the day before the Super Bowl repeating the same false claims. Based on the false abuse claims, NBC aired a public service announcement before the game to remind men that domestic violence is a crime.

Ken Ringle, a reporter for The Washington Post, did some investigating and actually debunked all of the sources and studies that were used as the crux of these claim, and crime statistics from Super Bowl Sunday showed no increase in domestic violence. However, the national talk shows never retracted the false stories, and only some newspapers posted corrections. The Feminists/Misandrists continued to falsely repeat the "Super Bowl Sunday" myth, and many people continue to buy into the myth.

The newest myth by the Feminists/Misandrists/Man-ginas and CNN is that "Girls equal to boys in math skills"... this false, politically correct, story will no doubt be rammed down our throats for weeks to come.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/science/07/24/girls.math.ap/index.html

We all know that math tests have been dumbed down every year, until the inevitable outcome that girls are finally able to score as high as boys. The CNN article even admits that:

"As Hyde and her colleagues looked across the test data, they found something they didn't expect: In most states they reviewed, and at most grade levels, there weren't any questions that involved complex problem-solving, the ability needed to succeed in high levels of science and math. If tests don't assess these reasoning skills, they may not be taught, putting American students at a disadvantage to students in other countries with more challenging tests, the researchers said."

In other words, they admit that the tests have been dumbed down so that girls can score as high as boys. Their own article debunks the very myth that they are trying to propetuate.

Re: Another "Super Bowl Sunday" Myth

This is what scares me. I hear America is planning on "Title IX-ing" maths and science in colleges. Essentially, if female finishing rates are not increased, despite the courses being just as available to them, then the faculties must make them easy enough for these female students or risk funding cuts. I know I'm not actually from the US, but whatever America does, we follow on its heels.
