Are you sure he wasn't riding along side the road and then decided (as many kids and even some adults do) to cross the road right in front of an oncoming car? Can't tell you how many times over the years it's happened to me. Always amazes me, too, when an adult does it.

Either way, I agree with you Haahoo...the boy could have at least been given sympathy for his injuries.

What with me not finding out till two years later when I asked why he was covered in huge scars..

I would have done, had I known, she is 1000 miles away and doesnt communicate much.

He has done a few good stunts that have gone on UTUBE, such as hanging onto the backs of buses while on blades..

He is a bit of a sportsman/jackass, but he was just riding his bike normally in that instance..
