"Patriarchy" is a category used by feminism to interpret cultural & social phenomena. The term itself does not refer to an objective reality. A necessary prerequisite for interpreting cultural & social phenomena is, of course, gathering reliable (non-fabricated) data. The fight against feminism, as I understand it, is really about feminists attempt to establish interpretative hegemony in our society. 'Domestic violence' would be a case in point.
And domestic violence against men is hardly a problem at all when compared to the violence against women generally. You can't say that because a man gets hit, once, it means thats it's fair that men literally beat women senseless back, A LOT, LOOOOT MORE THAN WOMEN DO.
