Gender differences are inherent. Fight it all you want, invent a plethora of ridiculous theories...whatever makes you feel better about things. I didn't encourage my children to play with anything, that didn't stop my daughter from gravitating towards everything pink and pretty from the day she was born. I've worked with children. As very small children, boys are more active, louder, less articulate, more coordinated, and less emotional while girls are quieter, talk sooner, are less physical and more emotional. In the nursery I volunteer in, even though we are all completely aware of the inherent differences between boys and girls, we're still always amazed by how obvious and predictable they are. I can only assume that people who buy into the above argument have never had children and if they have, that they are in a deeply rooted state of denial. I've said it before, but one need only be a casual observer of the sexes to know that gender differences are inherent. No diet in the world will give the average women the strength of the average man. I know body builders, male and female. They both eat a diet that consists of mainly protein. They spend equal amounts of time in the gym. The women are roughly half the size of the men, because they are women. Only feminists are bothered by the whole weaker sex thing. I'm 5'2 and weigh 108 lbs. I go to the gym and work out 3 times a week.....I'll never acquire anywhere near the strength or size of my husband. I'm o.k. with that. I embrace my femininity. I like being petite, I like that my husband is stronger than me I embrace our differences as man and woman. "I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do." - Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird http://equalbutdifferent.blogspot.com/

She says what? ![]() You're correct Kim. Feminist will believe whatever they want to, the hell with the facts. . Thomas Jefferson once said "It takes time to persuade men to do even what is for their own good." Feminuts are stupid, throw some common sense at them. They won't know what hit them.

The irony of sexism is that men and women both don't like it when it's aimed at them, yet we insist on accentuating (or emphasizing) our differences and then blaming the other sex for noticing those differences. What about the things we have in common?

Anti-feminists normally to have one of five reactions when faced with an inquiry which challenges their views: 1: Insult 2: Try to dodge the question 3: Blame someone/something else 4: Cite bias sources which support their views and are written by people who share their views 5: Make claims that they cannot back up thinking no one will second guess them I would say that ALL people have a tendency to do these things when their beliefs are challenged. We ALL get a bit defensive. This isn't exclusively a trait of anti=feminists, it's something we all are capable of doing. Takes a very level headed person to remain calm and objective.

Dieting isn't "designed" to keep anyone "weaker", that really is a big stretch. And I'd venture to say that social pressure from other women is stronger than pressure from males, to be "thin." It's the media's portrayal of rail thin Barbie dolls with breast augmentation surgeries that make women feel pressured to be thin. Trust me, there are guys who could care less about a few extra pounds on a woman. Some guys actually even prefer it. The media's "idealized view" (unrealistic view) of feminine beauty is the reason so many women are dieting, and have eating disorders, and are getting plastic surgery. The more women who jump on this bandwagon, the heavier the pressure to conform exists for the rest of us.
