Open Question: Why do men complain about feminism when it is easily the best thing that ever happened to them?
From Yahoo Answers
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...1071231AA07Zc2Pre-feminism, men were subjected to: Having to marry a woman in order to get in her corset Pressure to put a ring on that finger within about 6 months of meeting her, before either of them saw the age of 23 Had the sole burden of financially providing for his bride as well as all offspring. If this meant working 4 jobs, that's how many jobs he worked... This was the reason why men used to die before women, because of the strain they endured from years of hard labor and stress. Were drafted into war. "MEN" were needed and if not enough volunteered.. they were drafted. Post-feminism, men are treated to: Premarital s/ ex (often without commitment-- woohoo women's lib!!) Dating into their 30's before having to get married (now that women want to establish careers first) Dual-income families The privilege of sitting war out and complaining about how it's done instead of joining the force. Instead of being thankful that, due to women joining the troops and therefore the number being sufficient so we do not have to draft YOU, all you men want to do is complain that the standard for women to pass some tests is lower than it is for men. Why does this bother you so? Just enjoy the freedom you're given without having to ever earn it and shut up.

This broad is so far up her behind, she can see her tonsils. Whether there is a draft or not, men still have to sign up for service or they go to jail. Plus, women aren't on the front line, so men are still getting the brunt of war.
Also, pre-marital sex never has done humanity well. Lets not get into the many stds, children born out of wedlock and other issues that arise from it.
Yeah, men shouldn't complain about being treated like dog crap and seen as a walking atm by the majority of women.

I don't know about y'all, but her apparent sarcasm just slapped me in the face.
Contrary to what some feminists say, male violence is not "acceptable", "sanctioned" or "institutionalized" behavior. The fact that it is even considered criminal is proof of that.

Feminism didn't actually do any of those things. But it did destroy boys' educations, throw millions of men out of their homes and families, widen the life expectancy gap to men's detriment, massively increase the power of the state over our lives, create divisions of hate between the sexes, and teach women to view men with the complete contempt that we witness every day all around us. And that's just for starters.

I think the OP has a point, but doesnt express it very using the examples poorly..
I have always considered that feminism is in many ways beneficial to many men..
At least the ones who don't like having to be "manly" and would rather take as much of a ride as they can off the fair sex..
Usually they end up paying a price sooner or later though!
Strangely, some don't ever seem to realise it!I started out an optimist, but nothing turned out right..
Then I became a pessimist, but thats a life of shite..
I sucked at being a realist, 'cos folks will always fight..
So now I'm saying "fuck this shit!" I'd rather sleep at night!!

The claim of feminism, It's what it says on the tin!
Reality: It's the complete opposite of what it claims. It's a hate and supremacist ideology (pawns to a larger monster)!

I think feminism has brought men to the realisation 'that all is not well with the world'. Is feminism postive? No not in its ideology and or its application, but the final result may see men across the great divides united in defeating an enemy we so freely allowed into our world.

LOL wow.
Yes, women have joined the military, and men aren't being drafted. But the fact remains that my son has to register for the draft at 18, and my daughter never will have to.
The sad thing is, I'm sure she really believes all she says.

I sympathise. She has to mimic what she hears in order to 'belong', whether she belives it or not.The sad thing is, I'm sure she really believes all she says.

Re: Open Question: Why do men complain about feminism when it is easily the best thing that ever happened to them?
The draft is greater than a gender argument, it's ultimately about whether the war in question is moral and justified in the first place. Surely? As such, our sons and daughters shouldn't be sacrificed to the whims of an elite!
In my humble opinion, since the second world war where freedom and countries very existence were at stake, modern war has descended into a sick western game of chess and soulless profiteering.
As far as I understand, the draft was devised to defend America from an impending enemy, not to proactively bomb third-world countries back to the Stone Age on a flimsy and often unchallenged pretext to war.Last edited by Celtic Druid; 30th-June-2012 at 04:05 AM.

Many so-called feminist "career women" can still see the man as a paycheck, a walking wallet. In my opinion, professional women are the biggest gold diggers there are. In addition to that, if you marry a woman who is a doctor or lawyer, you will marry her student loan debt as well.

Re: Open Question: Why do men complain about feminism when it is easily the best thing that ever happened to them?
Feminism has hurt everyone. It is a hate movement designed to get women into the workforce and children into the hands of the state. It was designed to tear the family apart by attacking the head of the family, fathers and men in general. Women are being used as a chisel to tear the family and society apart but every tool outlives it's usefulness. We can't continue down this destructive path forever.

When I do this, and I know I will, it will be comparable to the lame learning to walk, the blind being enabled to see and the suffocated breathing again. The sky isn't the limit; there are no limits.
