Response to Ryan on MRA terrorism post

I am writing this post with a fever of over 101. Please forgive any grammatical errors.

I've had several comments to my MRA terrorism post (posts that will continue to be made). I've deleted most of them without a second thought as they were all either mindless drivel or typical convulted MRA logic. I'm going to respond to this one simply because I believe this guy is likely basically harmless but seriously deluded nonetheless.

"So you think that idiot Martha represents me. I'm a gender egalitarian. I'm for the ERRA (Equal rights and responsibilities Act). Equal treatment for men and women. No favoritism, due process in rape cases, etc."

First, unless Martha is the same as another common MRA poster, those comments were not made by Martha. Those comments were posted on Martha's blog by an American man.

Second, I'm really growing rather tired of hearing educated men - mostly white men no less - arguing about losing their rights. Men have not lost any right that they deserve. What is occurring is that men are finally getting what they deserve - punishment for centuries of abuse against women and children. I have absolutely no illusion that men are bad and women are saints; however, the hard cold truth is that the chaos we are currently experiencing is largely not the fault of the female gender. Men are the ones who perpetrate the majority of all the real violent crime. Men are also the ones who overwhelming refuse to take responsibility for their poor behavior. Period.

"I challenge you to actually look at and think about the issues from a Men's rights perspective. It'll be hard trust me it was when I finally woke up to the idea things are going unequal again, but you could learn something."

I have considered it from the opposite point of view. Let me make one thing very clear before I continue, I do not hate men. I do not know that I hate anyone. What I do hate is blatant arrogance, misogyny, and ignorance. The MRA movement is full of all three of these characteristics and so much more. From my understanding, the MRA's wish to abolish every major law and act that has been passed in America to give women a voice and protect us from the abuse of the general male population. This is utterly absurd. The MRA's argue that the VAWA hurts women. How? Apparently the MRA's believe that when a woman charges a man with abuse he then gets pissed off and becomes even more likely to physically abuse her! Glorious logic, that. When that line of BS logic fails to work then they simply start arguing that women batter as much as men or that domestic violence is a complete lie. MRA's also argue that marital rape laws should be abolished. Oh, and did I mention that MRA's also want to repeal the 19th amendment and abolish child support?

What I see and hear when I read an MRA blog is not reasoning and logic, but simply a whole stinking load of whining like three-year-old preschoolers and an even bigger load of blatant misogyny. For instance, MRA's tend to argue that single mothers are destroying the nation and hurting children. Nope. Wrong answer. You know who hurts children directly the most? MEN. Men who refuse to pay child support for whatever deranged reason. Men who prey on the trust and loneliness of single mothers to gain access to her and her children simply for the sole purpose of abusing them. Men who lie and cheat on women, get them pregnant and then run like the devil himself is on their tail when they realize they are about to become a daddy. It is also largely men who try to stand in the way of our access to birth control and abortion and then scream bloody murder about all the little bastards who are failing according to American standards (their words, not mine; I would never call a child a bastard or any other callous name).

Since this rant could continue indefinitely, I'm going to stop here for now and simply state this:

If men want to win this battle, they must first SURRENDER.
