Girl Fight. The Sisterhood of the Playground

I had a short discussion recently with a well known and well respected MRA ( a close friend of mine) about Melinda Tankard Reist. She is a thinking woman whose feminist views I often disagree with but sometimes see her real sense shining through. The Feminists want to disown her, for her sensible views.

Feminism, despite all the pretensions as to what it genuinely represents, can only be rightfully defined by the brand which finds itself in positions of power and the 'recorded' responsibility delegated to them. I don't doubt certain pliable women, who mean well, wrongly embrace the title of feminist because it's a misinformed choice, convenient, expected or fleetingly chic in limited circles.

Where hierarchical feminism glaringly self-destructs, is it's bullying insistence all women must conform to a blinkered cultist worldview, or have no value as a woman because such views differ from the hegemony of the 'sisterhood.' Ironically, feminism has created it's own caste system within it's own movement, and a growing number of their devotees are becoming rightfully disenchanted with something which more resembles something they are supposedly fighting against.

It's good to see this come to light because I have heard from feminists who gave all only to be kicked out cause they didn't tow the line. Some even made the group what it is.

The generation before me were kicked out because they couldn't stop their sons from seeing their dads as role models.

Yep - and you wonder why anti-feminist groups exist when such bigotry towards fathers & sons exists, by your own admission?

Marx, I see child abuse has lessened and yet I see parents making such a fuss because they were abused as if they want to make the next generation powerless because they live through their children.

We must always keep in mind that the gender war was decades ago. We can't put this on the next generation if we really care for them.

Happened to my Mom because she supported mentoring programs for boys with self esteem issues.

If we really care about the next generation, then we will do what is necessary to protect and teach them. That includes removing or changing views that discriminate against either gender. The rub is feminists have stated what they desire boys and men to change into. They are asking boys and men to change their very nature as males to conform to their ever changing standards of masculinity.

We must always keep in mind that the gender war was decades ago. We can't put this on the next generation if we really care for them.

Child abuse has lessoned, but child neglect is at a whole new level. Parents are giving up raising their kids, or disciplining them in their drives. Most children have no clue what self-respect or their identity means to them today. If such neglect was called 'abuse' then we would be living in a golden age of child abuse.

I am not convinced the gender war has ended. The steady rise of the MRM is in response to the continued prosecution of the gender war by feminists who are no longer relevant in modern discourse unless they continue their side of the war. Feminists are putting this on the next generation already and those non-aligned adults who do not analyse the actual effects of the legislation they support are their enablers.

It's laughable to claim there is no 'gender war' in today's world when we see feminists linked to paedophilia trying to teach boys of five-years-old that they are presumed guilty ahead of time of abusing a woman.

Wise words.

However, the "Lone-Ranger" doesn't have a female equivalent. Women are locked into cooperative relationships with men, be they priests or politicians.

At heart the male is self-sufficient and independent. Receiving "Vitriol" means that he's successfully annoyed a bigot.

He doesn't have to 'opt out'. There are plenty of renegade groups. He could even start his own.

My sympathy is with Julie - still trying to make sense of it and hell-bent on damage limitation.
