LAS CRUCES -- A 30-year-old Las Cruces woman was in custody Wednesday, charged with having sexual contact with an 8-year-old boy, Las Cruces police reported.
Michelle A. Tufts, 30, of the 2800 block of east Idaho Avenue, was arrested Monday and is charged with two felony counts of criminal sexual penetration of a child younger than 13 and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Last week, the boy's grandmother notified police that Tufts might be having an inappropriate physical relationship with the boy, Las Cruces Police Department spokesman Dan Trujillo said.
Police detectives investigated the reports and concluded the allegations were accurate, Trujillo said.
Tufts is being held at the Dońa Ana County Detention Center, and her bond is set at $50,000.

And well they should have. I have an 8 year old boy, he's so sweet and innocent. The thought of anyone doing something so depraved....And then they undermine the depravity by calling it an "inappropriate relationship" instead of the rape and sexual violation of a child that it really was.Notice that they call it a relationship instead of rape.
