Primary school dinner lady jailed for six years after having sex with boy, 12 | Mail Online

    By Daily Mail Reporter

A primary school dinner lady was jailed for six years today for having sex with a 12-year-old boy.

Diane Pullar, 32, cavorted with the boy at least five times after she met him through a friend of her daughter.

The mother-of-two sent a string of affectionate text messages and on one occasion straddled him on a trampoline.

They had sex in a tent during a children's party, in woodland and in Pullar's living room during their four-month 'relationship'.

Judge Anthony Bate locked Pullar up for six years and banned her from ever working with children after ruling she poses a 'high risk of serious harm to boys.'

He said: 'You flattered him as to how good looking he was and encouraged him to bunk off school for trysts in your house, caravan and nearby woods.

'There is no basis for thinking that the underlying detrimental effects on a boy is any different from that which would be suffered by a girl.

'His mother has been very distressed and made ill by the discovery that a friend has abused both her son and her trust.

'I consider an extension period of four years is necessary to protect under age boys from serious harm cause by you committing further sexual offences against them.

'You presently pose a high risk of serious harm to boys unless and until you gain some insight into the gravity of your offending.'

Judge Bate ordered Pullar to be supervised by the probation service for an extended period of four years after her release.

She will be placed on a sexual offences prevention order prohibiting unsupervised contact with any unrelated child under the age of 16.

Pullar must also sign the sex offenders' register for the rest of her life.

Her name will also be placed on a local authority list of persons banned from working with children and in schools.

Pullar, who worked at a primary school in Cambridgeshire., sobbed as the sentence was delivered.

She was convicted of six child sex charges in January following a 10-day trial at Cambridge Crown Court. All the offences took place in 2009.

Prosecutor Claire Matthews told the two-week trial Pullar was in a 'full-blown sexual relationship' with the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

Pullar regularly collected him from school in her car and sent him many text messages including one which read 'Love you loads, remember to delete this, kiss, kiss, kiss.'

She became friends with the boy's mother and they even went on holidays together and she attended his 13th birthday party, she told the jury.

The affair was discovered when a friend walked in on Pullar and the child lying half naked on a sofa at her home.

Her victim now 13, told the court he felt 'guilty' after they had sex.

He said: 'She told me she had fancied me for about a month before that. We went in the tent and started watching horror films like the film Saw on her laptop.

'We started kissing and she got down to her bra and knickers and it just happened.

'She was really kind, saying how good-looking and attractive I am. I kind of felt a bit guilty afterwards.'

While the length of the sentence is naturally more mild than that of a man, I find that the judge at least reasons correctly aside from the sentencing.

That he is stating that boys can be just a traumatized indicates at least some fairness which is normally not to be expected. Ussualy it is implied that abusing boys is a lesser crime compared to abusing girls.

It is also highly appropriate she has to sign up on the sex-offenders list for life. This is an improvement compared to the temporary compulsory sign-up that women get handed out frequently enough.

True but... There are still two words missing about her.... Rapist and paedophile. When I see those words to describe a woman like this, as they almost always do when it is a man, THEN I will be impressed. Furthermore, terms like Affair, tryst, and having sex should also not be used when describing a situation like this.

Six years for a non-violent statutory offence isn't much different to what some men would get.

I totally appreciate this attitude, but personally as long as the courts treat it the right way, the media is of no concern to me. I expect bias, stupidity and lies from all media.

Judge Anthony Bate: 'There is no basis for thinking that the underlying detrimental effects on a boy is any different from that which would be suffered by a girl.'
It's about time this was acknowledged, at least in words. Though the fact that it even needs to be compared shows the underlying prejudice with male offenders/female victims.

I agree. However, since he's presumably pubescent, paedophile is no more accurate in this case than in many cases involving girl victims; rape is not possible in the UK by women.

Ex-teacher Diane Pullar, 32, was jailed for six years today for having sex with a pre-teen boy.
Given that the minimum statutory sentence is five years, six seems lightweight for this specific offence. On the other hand, given how she was discovered, it is probable that she cooperated with evidence against her, which carries a large amount of time off, and that she plead guilty, which carries more time off; without that, her sentence might have started at around 15 years.

    I stand corrected.

Feminists will bury this news in a tirade of age old proposititions hinting at what they really think.

The Boy is suffering (Rightly so in their minds) because it's payback time.

Are the Ultra-Left in a condition to represent the "Minorities" they purport to help?

Oh dear me, no! "The Boy is suffering" would imply that a male is a victim.

While some feminist do talk about men generically getting 'paid back' I have never read a serious feminist imply that - individually - anyone other than a female could be a victim: the male is always the aggressor and the one at fault. Examples young boys being blamed for their rape are on this site.

The feminist version of this story is something like:
A trustworthy teacher was harshly sentenced by a male judge for being seduced by another male. The judge pretended that when a boy has sex with a woman, it is just as bad as a woman being raped. These old men need to be retired.
