Are things getting better in the Family Court?

I asked on a board whether or not we were balancing out with Fathers Rights in the Family Court in New Zealand. This is an interesting comment from a member of a group that has organised themselves well in their area yet not all areas are like this. They have also protested twice outside their FC with the aid of father protesters from around the country.


I thought I would share this with other fathers also working in the Family courts around the world.

My personal experience is that - here in Hawkes Bay - changes for the better are happening. Just recently for example, we (UoF - no lawyer) put together an application for a Without Notice Parenting Orderand it was granted. I have to say that a couple of years ago, this would never have happened. We have also been far more successful in recent times achieving shared care.



While I do have to give the local Judge credit for making an effort, there are still far too many problems and we are a very long way indeed from "have things balanced out".



Here are some of the more obvious FC problems:


·As a rule, protection ordersstill include children even if the applicant's affidavit does not raise any concerns for their safety
·Fathers accused of whatever have to prove that the allegations are wrong. In contrast, my impression is that if a father accuses the mother (even if he has all the evidence), at best the court completely ignores the allegations and at worst treats it as him trying "to make her feel bad about herself" (i.e. he is using [a form of] violence).

·I have yet to see a case where a person is charged and convicted for perjury for knowingly making false allegations in affidavits or in the court

·Court staff are generally unhelpful in providing information regarding FC procedures to self litigants (perhaps this is a training issue)
·It still appears that the FC makes sure that lawyers and psychologists make a lot of money ("in the best interest of the children - as long as it fills our pockets").
·Cases still drag out far too long
·There is still a reluctance by the FC to come down heavy handed on people breaching orders

Much larger are problems with current legislation and practices affecting cases which go through the FC:


·No basis for equal shared care after separation
·Legal aid is extremely sexist
·DV legislation is extremely sexist
·Child support is extremely sexist
·DPB is extremely sexist
·Paternity tests can still be blocked by the mother

Other major problems are the general views and perceptions of the public which came about through indoctrination by feminist propaganda:


·Men are wife beaters, rapists and child abusers
·Women who treat men like crap are empowered women
·Women who abuse children have been abused themselves
·Women who commit crimes do so because they had a rough past
·Women need protection
·Men need to take responsibility for their actions

Such perceptions influence decisions made in the FC.

I hear you Percy. The numbers of FC clients have dropped since I have been involved just under 2 years and this has been mostly through the work coming in from what is happening in Aussie. They are now being cared for more by mediation.

Strangely enough while this happened so did a new panic of DV where the FC received a huge amount of money. From my memory in NZ is was 60 million dollars. And they have set out to take a much closer look through the councils and communities and the schools and so on and so on. This will give them a lot more work where the court and all its members from lawyers, judges and Psychologists more money.

Changes have been made regarding legal aid so more mums and dads can use it and the laws are being looked at regarding DV Acts and other Acts.

The only groups that are not involved in this decision making is fathers groups.

And here, for a moment I was optimistic that we were moving ahead. This is unbelievable. This is insanity.

I am wondering if I should just collect as many women and men and hit the streets in protest of men, young males and boys rights.

I don't know if I could even convince feminists of this let alone get them on board.

Indeed percy 100% correct.

The use of the courts by fathers must be strongly discouraged. The use of ANY state supported means of manipulating and feminising men should also be strongly discouraged.

They FAIL fathers, and children and are built to do so..

Good analysis. As I like to observe:

You can't make wrong into right by doing wrong more effectively.

So-called "family" court and all their lieyers and agents of Satan in black robes of hell should be rounded up and impaled on a row of posts down the center of Main Street. Everything they have ever done has been aimed at destroying families, and hurting children. They are the embodyment of pure evil. Only their complete eratdication will restore good to our land and allow the vile stench to begin to be cleaned from our society.

Every decison of "custody" deprives the child of his fundamental human rights to both of his parents. Every decision for "divorce" destroys a fmaily and hurts the children. Every decision for "alimony" or "support" enslaves men. No amount of tinkering or improving the process can turn the pure evil of destroying families and hurting children into a good work. It only makes evil easier to do.
