I too am going through a very difficult struggle with being a single dad of two girls and my constant battle with their mom and the “System”. It seems that dads have it rough when it comes to child support. The kids started out with my ex when she left. I wanted to spend more time with them so I had them for a FULL summer last year (while still paying her support). We then agreed to put them in school here with me (while still paying her support). I tried to get my Support case closed while they were with me for the first part of the school year (while still paying her support). They were to go back to my ex at the beginning of this year and WE were going to work out the logistics of support between us (while still paying her support). I fought and fought to get the case closed while working full time, being a full time dad and trying to keep it together (while still paying her support).
For some reason the “system” had a hard time believing that I was doing it all and made it very difficult for me (while still paying her support).
After almost 2 years of the struggle with HER and the System things are looking better now.
