Harman roof protesters face charges

Two Fathers 4 Justice campaigners who staged a rooftop protest on Harriet Harman's home have been charged with harassment.
John Paul Stanesby, 41, and Mark Harris, 46, both from Devon, were charged after they held the protest on top of the deputy Labour leader's south London house on June 8.
They will appear at Tower Bridge Magistrates' Court, in London, on July 23.
Stanesby and Harris scaled Ms Harman's house dressed as self-dubbed superheroes "Captain Conception" and "Cash Gordon".
Harris was arrested after spending one night on the roof but Stanesby remained until he climbed down and was arrested on June 10.
Two other Fathers 4 Justice protesters who climbed on to Ms Harman's house last week will appear in court on Thursday.
Nigel John Ace, 40, a sales manager from Bristol, and Anthony Ashby, 42, a painter and decorator from Leicester, will appear at Tower Bridge Magistrates' Court.
They dressed as superheroes - Ace as Spiderman and Ashby as Batman - and scaled the walls of Ms Harman's home saying they had enough food supplies to last a week.
Both men were arrested and will appear at Tower Bridge Magistrates Court for the first time to face charges of harassment and using threatening words and behaviour.

I hope that a huge crowd of incensed people will gather to give them support. With luck and foresight they might arm themselves with spray cans of purple paint and do a redecorating job on the Court.

Harriet Harman is past her expiration date. Anyways this type of activism of standing on top of roofs is counter-productive. As Mark Rudov points out in his HOW $4 GAS CAN HELP MEN article and podcast episode.

One good example of how to fight back — using pragmatic, effective tactics — is the lawsuit filed by the Vienna, WV-based group called Men and Women Against Discrimination (MAWAD), which seeks to stop West Virginia’s unconstitutional and discriminatory (pro-female) funding of domestic-violence programs and shelters. In another effort, MAWAD is working to eliminate the anti-father West Virginia Family Court culture.

If men would copy MAWAD’s approach, at both state and federal levels around the country, they can dismantle the lopsided gynocracy — without resorting to counterproductive stunts like illegally scaling the Lincoln Memorial.

So to dismantle gynocracy and one-sided feminist laws we have to use pragmatic and effective lawsuits. Father 4 Justice negelects this strategy.

Please remember their are other organisation in the Uk which attempt to use a similiar approach to that which you have mentioned Men and Women Against Discrimination (MAWAD), :

Families need Fathers, Mensaid there are probably more but I am familiar with these two. There is nothing to stop this group from picking out a subject /issue to tackle, there will always be different approaches I think or should I say hope every one here is aware of that point. Unless its a case that there is a fear of F4J stealing limited resources. Then you can do what familiees need fathers did which was virtually ban f4j off the forum.

I say people make up their own mind, if they do not support f4j, then when media interest is stirred by the antics of f4j write to the newspapers or your local Mp saying I do not support those "evil silly men etc etc" of f4j but here is my opinion on the matter etc etc. and I belong to XXX group etc. I am all for the tactic if you see a weakness in the system exploit it in order to bring some form of fair play to the system. Alternatively do something on the lines of Men and Women Against Discrimination (MAWAD). Horses for courses is what I say.
