FATHERHOOD INSTITUTE LAUNCHED - DADS FRUSTRATED AT SECONDARY ROLE

A welcome new addition to the pantheon of groups supporting men is the Fatherhood Institute (link) which came into being came into being on 7 January 2008, a successor organisation to Fathers Direct. It is part funded through a £300,000 grant from the Government.

To quote from its site its aim is "to promote good practice in public services and industry, in recognition of the aspiration of fathers to be more involved in their children’s lives and in response to the increasing body of research that demonstrates the importance of father-child and mother-father relationships to children."

At its launch, it also produced a report "The Difference A Dad Makes" (link) that will dismay the anti-male feminist fundamentalists who want to relegate men to the outer sphere of society.

" 7 out of 10 mums (68%) believe dads are as skilled at parenting as they are, yet the father role is seen as still secondary by much of society, according to new ICM research launched by the Fatherhood Institute today.

The new institute says involving fathers has a major impact on child welfare yet they spend on average a month less with their children than mums every year, mainly because of unsocial hours and inflexible working."

Full press release available at (link) and the launch was covered in The Guardian (link) and Daily Telegraph (link).

The organisation has been campaigning for a fairer Child Support Agency institution and also for the family courts/CAFCASS to be reformed. Two areas that the female fundamentalists have used to undermine the male role in bringing up and supporting their children.

Harriet Harman, one, if not the, biggest enemy of UK men, launched the new organisation probably as a sop to her conscience and to enable her to say "Look, the Labour Government does support men".

Do not believe it.

Let us hope the Institute is successful but hope that because it is reliant on Government for its funding, it is not captured by the Government (Classic New Labour tactic of funding groups that oppose it, thereby effectively gaining control of them) and still and must remain an independent voice.

I have tried all my life to leave the place better than I found it.
But there are 6 billion other buggers out there messing it up.
I am outnumbered.
But...
YOU don't just make a difference,
you make THE difference.

Re: A Grant, For men? And the catch is....?

I went to the Fatherhood Institute web site http://www.fatherhoodinstitute.org/

The FIRST item in their menu is "Maturnity Services."

Do these wackos even know what a FATHER is? They obviously aren't in the business of providing Paturnity Services.

Paturnity does not appear on their menu

Men are not mothers. Fathers are not Mothers. And Maturnity Services are inappropriate for a "Fatherhood Institute."

It appears like another feminazi hate campaign against fathers.

Blessings

Bob

Re: A Grant, For men? And the catch is....?

Well observed Bob And Fruitilicious!!

That saved me looking into it!

Statist shit.. telling us to listen to "experts".. experts in making a lucrative phoney living as family quacks..

I remember one of the adverts for a high position in I think "fathers direct"..

"Wanted, mens issues leader, salary astronomical, applications open to all genders, sexual preferences.. and ethic origins.. Women, gays and lesbians especially welcome.."

They did not call fathers direct "Uncle Tom direct" without good reason..

And fathers direct did not shut down their forum to the public, and allow access only to state approved "experts" without good reason..

Drex ate them and shat them out like the pieces of re-digested feminazi statist wind and piss vegetables that they are!

Re: A Grant, For men? And the catch is....?

Hi friends, I am 23 years old college student right now. I would like to start an own business after my college education and I want to get a government grant for that. I am looking for a real government grant source online, does anyone know where to find one? The grants I am interested in range from personal to professional and just about everything in between, any help would really be appreciated. Thank you very much.

Re: A Grant, For men? And the catch is....?

There is nothing new in this organisation, or its website. it is just Fathers Direct repackaged and renamed.

And yes, anything with Harriet Harm-man's grubby fingerprints on it can be guaranteed to be of no benefit to the male sex in any shape or form.

I have had a stroll through the website, and most of the stuff there is pretty old and uninspired. Full of supposed good intentions, but with little effective action.

The main problem is that the organisation has no interest in addressing the root problems of father-absence from children's lives. The constant media portrayal of dads as monsters, deadbeats, idiots or slobs, gets no mention. Neither do the divorce laws and misandric activities of the courts and government agencies. Nor does paternity fraud, PAS or any of the other methods deployed to shut fathers out of childrens' lives. All powerful reasons why thousands of children grow up without a father, and all ignored by the Fathers Institute.

And that is why it can re-brand itself until it is blue in the face, and run round and round faster and faster in ever decreasing circles, but will never solve the problem. It takes a purely cosmetic approach, tinkering with the symptoms while ignoring the causes; looking good on the outside while nothing changes underneath.

No wonder it has the support of the government.
