Dad Wants Child Support Laws Rewritten

Douglas Miller said he jumped through hoops to make child
support payments for his daughter.

Miller stopped making child support payments when he lost his
job, but when he found a stable job to make payments that was
when he said the real problems began.

"The whole idea is to get you to work," Miller said. "That blew
my mind. I was like, 'You've got to be kidding me.' Boy, I was
mad."

Miller said he was flabbergasted when he tried to follow the rules. He said he lost his job when the economy tanked in 2008 and as a result, couldn't afford child support payments and got his driver's license suspended.

Even with a new job, he said he was still on shaky ground.

"You go in and say, 'OK, I got my job. I start Monday. Can you reinstate it so I can go to work?' You get, 'Nope,'" Miller said.

With no license, that meant no job and stacks of official documents saying money was due.

State Sen. Sue Wilson Beffort helped Miller retain his license. She said sometimes there should be exceptions to the rule.

"It appears that we have a very high unemployment rate. I think an unprecedented unemployment rate, and it might need to be a case-by-case revisit issue with the department," said Beffort.

Currently, driver's licenses can be suspended if the parent is delinquent with child support payments.

The human services department said if there is proof that the parent has a job opportunity, then they will work with them to get their license back.

Miller said that meant, "I had to jump through the hoops." He said he hopes fathers like him won't have to hurdle over.

Miller said he has his license back and now has a job where he can continue to make payments, like he did before being laid off.

Beffort also said she supports the license revocation because it holds those who are intentionally delinquent in payments accountable, but she said Miller was an exceptional case.

Case by case? WTF! There shouldn't be any case at all. How can you expect someone to earn money if you take away the very thing that enables them to do so?

This whole criminal action thing against men who have trouble paying child support is nothing but wage slavery. Where is the mothers accountablility? What is this business that we just give money to custodial parents and not expect them to come to grips with the idea that they had a kid with a fellow human being that may have employment issues from time to time?

The Child Support laws are draconian and need to be rewritten.
Then again, most of the money paid from child support doesn't go to the child nor the female!
It goes to the state!
Meaning, the child supports laws will never be rewritten because the cocksuckers want "daddy's" money.

The system has nothing to do with fairness, nothing to do with justice, nothing to do with logic and nothing to do with common sense. The system is formulated and enforced by people with no interest in any of those values.

The system is designed for one purpose only, which it accomplishes with crushing effect: it is designed to hammer men into the ground, and keep them there. It is cruel, heartless and barbaric, forcing men into wage slavery. The attitude of Beffort - one of the people working and maintaining the system - says it all. She has just enough sense to understand that depriving a man of his licence prevents him from fulfilling his allotted role as workhorse and provider; but still lacks the basic humanity to understand that making a man a workhorse and enforced provider in the first place is absolutely no solution whatsoever to the problem of relationship breakdown and father-deprivation of children. Her instinct is still to attack and punish the man for having the audacity to be a father, which she clearly believes is some kind of inferior sub-role limited to the provision of material benefits for the mother to exploit.

We now are trying out a system that will bankrupt the CSA and we have also tried a system that stops the courts from granting Liability Orders and removal of driving licences and prison, and guess what guys, it works.
We are starting conferences up in the North West of England Bispham in Blackpool, one in Preston at the Bell and Bottle on the Blackpool Road and then onto Strkers Bowling Alley Wolverhampton, all dates and times to be confirmed but will keep you up to date for those of you wishing to attend

Good. My brother lives in Blackpool and I'm due up at the end of January / beginning of February... If I can't make that one, I live clsoe to Wolverhampton so could make that one hopefully.
