The British Govenrment minister in charge of the reform of the state benefits has ruled that all claimants of state benefits will no longer have their child maintenance payment considered when calculating the amount of tax payers money they are entitled to claim. He justifies this decision with the claim of combating child poverty.
This will have the effect of increasing the single parent and single family income, which is normally paid to the mother.

Here again we have a minister which is not only rewarding women when they decide to go it alone, but it is also a disincentive to keep the family unit together.

Ministers have learned nothing from the consecuences of their decisions. Even when reminded by another minister, strangely enough a woman, of the negatives consecuences of increasing finacial help to single parents families.

As this gravy train carries on women will use motherhood as a way to live a life at some one else's cost (read the Mathew Shanon case).

The increase of moneis payments will never make up for the poverty of the child of not having a father in the family. That much is obviuos to anyone with average intelligence. If a Man, Woman and kid are on state benefits...what is the monthly amount? Can you live on it?

If a Woman and kid are on state benefit...is the amount the same?

If a Woman and kid are on state benefits and get typical child maintenance how does that amount compare to working, taking into account the likely need for day care?

What I am trying to get at is besides the incentive to "ditch the Dad", is there a large incentive not to work. Are we paying women even more not to work and to have kids for which they claim child maintenance?

Now having looked at the Woman's finances...can men afford to live on what is left on their end? What if they receive state benefits...how does child maintenance work in that case?

Are vasectomies cheap in the UK?
