United Future call for paternal DNA protection The United Future Party is calling for the immediate introduction of DNA paternity testing after new figures from Britain showed that in one in five claims it proved the mother wrongly identified the father of their child. "It is a disgrace that in New Zealand men have no right at all to get a simple DNA test to confirm whether they are the father or not," MP Judy Turner said today. "Presently, if the mother says no to a DNA test then the man and child are left in the dark as to whether they are in fact related." Ms Turner said that since DNA paternity testing figures began to be collected in Britain in 1998, 4854 paternity claims had turned out to be false after testing. "The British situation is comparable to here and the numbers are simply staggering," she said. "In one in five cases of disputed parentage the wrong father has been fingered – but in New Zealand they have no right to clear their name." Ms Turner said that meant thousands of New Zealand children had no idea who their biological father was, and thousands of men were paying tens of thousands of dollars to raise children that there not theirs. "All this could be fixed if the Government introduced DNA testing," she said. "It is easy, it is accurate and it simply removes the cloak of uncertainty that surrounds so many father-child relationships." Ms Turner has a bill in Parliament that would introduce DNA testing, but it is still waiting for its first reading. Because it is a member's bill it has virtually no chance of being passed before the election – unless the Government takes ownership and speeds it up. - NZPA http://www.stuff.co.nz/4643008a6160.html

Getting that past that feminist bitch Helen the dictator would require a mammoth effort on her part one that she seems incapable of. Feminism runs New Zealand and it's running it into the ground..

Of course if Helen was awarded a medal - say the Feminist Misandry Justice medal - that might clear a hurdle.
I have tried all my life to leave the place better than I found it. But there are 6 billion other buggers out there messing it up. I am outnumbered. But... YOU don't just make a difference, you make THE difference. ![]()
