In my opinion a child is more likely to have a healthy self respect and be obidient of the law, if he becomes an adult in a strong and disciplined family unit. That is not to say "all single mother's children will be crooks", But the fact that almost the totality of the poeple now in prison come from broken homes, suggest that children will have a much better chance in life if they have a solid family background.

But without ever-continuous economic growth, no interest is earned and without interest being earned, there can be no fat cats creaming off the rest of us. Ever-increasing economic growth is impossible, which of course means periodic melt-down.

My goodness, if we carry on like this, we'll be voting for the Green Party!
