England: child maintenance debts (£300m) cancelled?

More than £300million worth of historic child maintenance debts is to be written off, in a new move by ministers.

Some absent fathers will be allowed to pay back a fraction of the money they owe to the failed Child Support Agency, and then see their cases closed, in order to get them off the books.

In other cases where there is no hope of the cash being paid, such as where parents have died or the Government had sent unrealistic bills, debts will simply be erased.

In a separate move, a loophole will be closed that means absent parents are not charged child maintenance on income from part-time jobs such as serving in the Territorial Army or as a local councillor.

It comes after plans were announced to target separated parents who lie about their income or fail to contribute to their children’s upbringing, by looking at their tax codes or cutting their benefits.

The regulations, now out for consultation, would also allow some absent parents to settle their accounts with part-payments if they are unlikely ever to have enough money to pay all that they owe.

In a fiat based currency you realise all money is debt and 'write offs' are subjective terms.

How about Cameron and co concentrating on the multi-trillion pound Ponzi scheme that is evident within the City of London banking system, instead of his insistence on waging a war against those who have the least in British society?

Re: England: child maintenance debts (£300m) cancelled?

This is good news for everyone. It means there will be a lot LESS tension that the C$A has imposed on people. I know before they imposed themselves on my ex and myself, we got on just fine. Thanks to them lying about how they got involved in the first instance, it caused arguments between her & I. Their version of "Your ex has contacted us requesting we intervene" translated to "Using the threat of cutting off her benefits, we have blackmailed her into submitting information to us".

When I contacted them, the woman I spoke with could only answer my questions with "It's teh law!" in a 'Judge Dredd" type mentality. Given my limited experience with C$A but in combination of that and what I've seen from others across various websites, I'm of the opinion that C$A workers think they're above the law and have legal power over other people - and it's like power that has gone to their head. You can almost hear their snide grin over the phone as they're looking down at you as an inferior under their control.

Still, the ex was pissed off with them because after they forced themselves into our lives, she got LESS from me than when we had a private agreement in which I gave her a monthly cheque. Then things happened which resulted in the C$A leaving me fully alone, one final letter from them explaining "Due to xyz, we will not be contacting you again." Now, she & I have returned to a private agreement whereby I now pay the kids directly - they benefit, I benefit (I KNOW where the money goes/peace of mind), she benefits (knows certain things are covered wihtout worrying) - EVERYONE benefits with the single exception of the government... who had not been invited in the first instance.

Below looks like an admission, finally, that government had been purposely fucking with people, trying to send them insane through excessive demands... Something feminists deny ever happens.

The most offensive thing you can do to a feminist is treat her with FULL equality.

The CSA, (Nearly always) chased men, who were already giving money to the mother of their child(ren,) as they were an “Easy target.”

This caused no end of “Needless suffering.”

I hope that places like USA can look at what England has done, and view it as the positive step forward that it is, and hopefully imitate it to the benefit of parents over there (and other countries too, but USA would be a leading voice for others to follow).

What part of "I never contracted with the state to be robbed in this way" do these misandric thieves not understand?
    Too true!

    What's this allowed?

Until somebody establishes exactly which men intended to have children but then abandoned them, which men were conned into fatherhood against their will, and which men are not even the fathers of the children that they are being forced to pay for; and we can actually have those statistics published for us all to see; I will continue to regard the term "feckless fathers" as a meaningless piece of gibberish. And all the while the state ignores those crucial differences and continues to dispense indiscriminate misery far and wide, I will regard the whole "child support" industry as another pillar of ugly, state-imposed misandry. It's like a woman breaking into a showroom and stealing a car, and the state then stepping in and insisting some man - any man - is made to pay for it.

    An excellent summary.

So why does the state ignore the truth?

Female politicians (Harman et al) have stated their case clearly. They want more privileges for woman, especially themselves. They are utterly selfish but at least they're 'honest' about it.

As for male politicians, what motives would they have?

Perhaps they really don't understand or care about what's going on. In which case they are stupid beyond belief and don't belong in Parliament.

Perhaps they know what's going on but like the stereotypical doormat husband they say, "Yes Dear" to everything in the vain hope of a quiet life. Doormats and sycophants don't belong in Parliament.

Perhaps they understand the situation exactly but their jobs, power, wealth and importance can only be secured by sucking up to the dominant ideology. This explanation is the worst possible combination.
They pretend to be ignorant of the facts and they bow down to feminist politics. They will happily see most men's lives go to Hell if they can keep their jobs and their perks. This bunch of devious self-serving crooks should not be allowed to come within a thousand mile of Parliament.

    Unfortunately, they are the majority.

Well said, and whilst we can understand the motivations of many women whose elevation into politics seems to be dependent on blind loyalty to feminism, for many male politicians their cowardly capitulation and conniving is reminiscent of the old Roman senate. Their relative wealth inoculates them from the very anti-male legislation to which they play an active part in. Chivalrous toadyism, endemic within parliament, also contributes towards the disenfranchisement of men. Their own personal survival becomes a greater thing - than a moral idea which affords fairness to all sections of the electorate. The enemy of men in politics has an androgynous form!

Unfortunately the more morally upstanding and equitable MPs, such as Dominic Raab, who spoke out against the 'obnoxious bigotry of feminism,' are regularly banished to the fringes of politics. I solemnly believe modern men are at a greater social and legal disadvantage then ever were women in centuries past. How best to address this calamity rests solely in the will of brave and enlightened men - who will prod and disturb the angry lion that lies within all men of conscience.

This is absolutely terrible. Just because someone has been cremated should be no reason not to keep sending financial demands to them. What use is government bureaucracy if it can't perform tasks that no insane nit-wit would dream up?

And why someone should be let off just because they were sent unreasonable demands, I can't think. After all, nothing to do with marriage, divorce, separation, child support and family courts is reasonable or sensible so why stop at making stupid financial demands of people who can't pay.

Tut tut, government just isn't the same these days..
