Woman 'filed false rape report following road rage incident with
man'

A woman has been charged with filing a false report after her
original complaint sparked a police investigation into an
allegation of rape, police say.

Megan McLane, 18, of Dinwiddie Place, initially complained to
police that a man tried to choke and rape her. Police later
learned she fabricated those statements because she had
gotten into a verbal and physical altercation with another driver
and she wanted to get the man in trouble, said Newport News
police spokesman Lou Thurston.

The misdemeanor charge against McLane carries a fine of up to
$2,500 and up to 12 months in jail, Thurston said.

"Officers met with the victim, who reported that she was stopped along the side of the road in the area of Jouett Drive when a man, unknown to her, opened the car door and attacked her, placing a cord around her neck and began to choke and beat her as he pulled her from the car toward a nearby wooded area," Thurston said.

McLane said the man continued to beat her and hold her on the ground while attempting to remove her clothing, Thurston said. She said once she was able to kick him, the assailant left.

"A large number of detectives, as well as forensic technicians, were sent to the area to begin processing the scene for any possible evidence and to canvass the neighborhood for possible witnesses," Thurston said. When McLane was confronted with the results of the police operation, she admitted to fabricating the story, Thurston said.

McLane was released from the Newport jail with a summons.

Check this out, I found it when I looked for fees on Virginia Agressive driving and foud it in a newspaper:

That means if a person is convicted of an offense that comes with a $250 fee, by the time all three payments have been shelled out, the person will have paid a total of $750 in addition to other fines and costs. Should the offense carry a $1,000 fee, the total tab will be $3,000, plus fines and costs.

This means that, monitarily, the charge of aggresive driving will cost her more than a false rape accusation. Is that f'd up or what!!!

Advice for men: never cut off a woman in traffic.
'Newport News detectives have charged Megan McLane, 18, with one count of filing a false police report.
McLane had called police on Wednesday afternoon saying she had been stopped along the side of the road in the area of Jouett Drive when a man opened the car door and attacked her. Better watch out when you walk down the pavement (sidewalk) in case you accidently just lightly graze shoulders. It’s quite safe it’s with another man; but do be careful. And if it does happen with a woman, then be overly generous with the apologies and be prepared to get on your knees begging for forgiveness.

A woman should have entitlement to any retribution no matter how severe, as long as she wants to give it; especially if it’s her faut for not looking where she’s going.

This may also apply to driving.

In addition to imprisonment and a serious fine, she should lose her driver's license for life.

As long as cops and the rest of the system keep reacting this way to women, women will continue to use the "rape cry" as weapon against men. It is a deadly weapon that cops, lawyers, judges and politicians have put into the hands of every woman and girl in the Western world. They may wield it at will. All men and boys be ware.

Then again, perhaps this whole False Rape Claim Inquisition is means of keeping the masses suppressed by keeping us men suppressed.

Whether or not it is a conspiracy as you suggest is debatable but one thing is absolutely for sure, and that is that there is big money in they justice, prison, and social service sector. Specifically rape centers, rape awareness campaigns etc. the list goes on and on.

They will fight tooth and nail to do two things:
1 - To make sure that the public is given an inflated impression of violence against women. They do this by terrorizing women at college campuses when they tell them that they are very, very likely to be the victim of rape in their lifetime when it is simply not true.

2 - To make sure that this dangerously naive notion that women would never lie about rape and if they do it is exceedingly rare. They do this by ignoring or manipulating statistics surrounding rape and violent crimes against women. You keep on hearing this 2% figure for false accusations and it has become just as popular as the one in for rape statistic that you hear over and over again in the media.

Great points. What you have just described is indeed a conspiracy!!!! Yes, the False Rape Inquisition is about money (and power). Cops for example do not want to eliminate crime. Crime is job security for them. Fear of rape, etc. keeps them employed.

I was at our local bus stop several months ago

the people were crowding around the entrance to the bus but this young wimyn in front of me just stood there and let the school kids get on the bus

I said to her 'why don't you get on your standing there like a statue and letting the kids prescede me on to the bus

her response in a loud voice

" DON'T TOUCH ME"

the security camera would have saved me had she proceeded with her lie but no doubt at some cost to me in time money and angst
