A TEENAGER who left police with a £40,000 bill after a bogus rape claim is now trying to cash in on her story, the Sunday Mercury can reveal today.

The 18-year-old sparked a huge manhunt when she reported being brutally raped next to a busy Midland railway line on June 9.

But last week she was cautioned for wasting police time after admitting making the story up to save her troubled marriage - and frame an innocent man.

Incredibly the woman, married at just 16, cannot be named as a legal loophole means she still enjoys the anonymity afforded to genuine rape ...
