Police: Victim admits to rape lie

A man was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center on rape charges Monday, but West Monroe Police said the alleged juvenile victim told an interviewer she lied because she was angry with the suspect.

LiQuile W. Sampson, 30, 208 N. Seventh St., West Monroe was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center at 2:30 a.m. Monday.

The alleged victim was his girlfriend's daughter.

West Monroe chief investigator Maj. Brent Chappell said the department has turned the investigation over to the 4th District Attorney's office.
