If you are a minor and you falsely accuse someone of rape or sexual assault then your name should be put on a registry. No criminal charges would be filed and you will have the record expunged two years after becoming an adult (aged 18). If you commit an offence as an adult then your name stays on the registry for life.
People who tell destructive lies to get out of trouble tend to do so over and over again. This is a fact of human behavior and it must not be overlooked. Just like the sex offender, pathological liars start early and stay in a pattern of behavior.
