I know a civil lawsuit can be legally brought against the women involved (and should be regardless of their financial status.) I've always wondered what the outcome would be if one of these men sued the police and District Attorneys which brought the false charges.

I have a lot of respect for law enforcement, they've got tough jobs and little respect. They catch shit at work every day, sort of like a sewage repair man. But, I also believe the District Attorneys and law enforcement don't have enough accountability for pressing "false charges" though. The current system seems to be you sent the wrong man to jail, oops. Better idea, every time it's discovered you sent an innocent man to jail, you get to serve his sentence. Currently there is no consequences for DAs who prosecute the innocent.

Yes, there should be drastic consequences for those who send the innocent to jail, especially in the case of false rape accusations, which police and judges are hastey to act on for political reasons.

I hate the expression, "I'm just doing my job!" So were Hitler's henchmen! If you have to hide behind that expression, then it's time to find a new job. It's time to do what is right! Too many cops just go along with the system. Not enough have the guts to refuse to destroy a man's life with false rape accusations by taking the woman at her word and arresting the man before actually investigating the claim. In most false rape cases in which the man is found to be ,the police arrest the man, release his name and picture to the media, and THEN, and only then, do they interview the woman thoroughly and find out that she's a liar! The damage has already been done. In this case, the cops should be imprisoned. Start doing that and cops will behave differently with regard to falsely accused men!
