Alright,

I know that this may cause a big humph among the fag hatters on this site but I have said before and will say again now that I like my queer friends and think that they should be treated with equal respect and given the same rights as anybody else. I also want to point out that homosexuals have ALWAYS, FROM THE VERY BEGINING, served my country with honor and distinction in uniform whether most Americans know/like it or not. That is a fact.
What happened to this guy was just as wrong, if not more wrong, than what happened to men at Hofstra, Duke, and Baltimore or to any other victim of a false rape accusation. Why do I say "even more wrong"? Three things:

1. He was a man who dedicated his life to serving his country and had that distinction smeared by a false accusation of something terrible. That means something to me.

2. He was falsely accused of a crime for which defendants have less legal protection from false accusations than other crimes simply because he is a man and that is not right.

3. He was let go from the military not only because he was falsely accused of rape, but because he was gay. Two things he had NO CONTROLL OVER!!! One of which having to do with the maliciousness of another person and the other one having to do with his sexual identity as a human being.

He should be given his job back so he can continue to serve the military which so badly needs his help right now.

A gay US Air Force officer who lost his job last year after a false rape allegation forced him to reveal his sexuality, has sued to block his dismissal and to overturn the US military's Don't Ask Don't Tell policy.
As reported by the Seattle Times, Lt. Colonel Victor Fehrenbach – who is still undergoing the process of being discharged – requested that a federal court in Boise, Idaho, invalidate the 1993 policy which bans openly LGBT Americans from serving in the military. Lt. Col Fehrenbach's claim insists that admission of his sexuality was obtained under "coercive circumstances" and that he spoke against the rape allegations made against him by a Boise man in May 2008.
Lt. Col. Fehrenbach launched his lawsuit after hearing last week that the Air Force Personnel Board had recommended he be discharged. He has been grounded since the allegations of two years ago, instead employed as an assistant director of operations in the 366th Operations Support Squadron at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho.
Previously, Lt. Col. Fehrenbach was a weapons-systems officer on F-15Es. He served in Iraq and won nine Air Medals, including one for valor.
Preident Obama has said that the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy needs to be repealed.

i hope he succeeds in the dont ask/dont tell aspect as well as the FRA. Maybe this is just what we need to kick obamas ass into shape a bit and actually follow up on what he claimed he would do

So why aren't more men choosing to be gay rather than be lonely because those feminists aren't worth squat? Yes I know a straight man isn't attracted to men, but if he decided to turn gay, would he become attracted to men?

Anyway, I dont' agree he's the 'coolest' anything. He's a bloke who's been shit on.

Personally, I don't like gay-bashing threads on here and consider them to be detrimental to the cause. They turn away a potential 10% of supporters.

One can choose to be gay just as much as one can choose to remain blind and stupid. What's really sad are the sorry specimens who announce their homosexuality for PR.
There are sodomites and then there are flamers. Flamers are individuals who act gay for the sole purpose of pushing people to wrath. Its pretty hard to believe that someone would just wake up one day and decide "Hey this is what I want to be."

There are those in the scientific community that claim it is by birth, and those that say it is societal. I agree that it can be and is both. A persons sexual preference should never be the defining factor of a persons worth. If this DECORATED man did his job well (and he did), that is all that should matter. If he prefers to have sex with men, or is by design - attracted to men, that is his business. As long as it doesn't affect his work... Especially in the military.

This, coming from a Het Vet.

I do agree that the very vocal - in your face homosexuals (men and women) are an issue, but someone like him is not and should not be.

I agree to an extent, but private clubs are nothing new there used to be the mens clubs that have been destroyed-theres no problem with a group being exclusive as long as any group can chose to do so without having to be "politically correct" which sadly isnt the case

I didn't say being gay was stupid! An yes people are gay by choice. If they were born gay, then they'd be treated as a defect. Yes some men could choose to be gay just like some women could choose to be lesbian. Then you have the ones who become gay because they desperately seek acceptance.

For a very long time being gay was seen as defective. A psychological disorder. Sexuality is a spectral thing with homosexuality on one end and bisexuality on the other. Where you fall on this spectrim is an inborn trait. Homosexuality and bisexuality have been well documented in other species including birds as well as many other primate species. As for seeking acceptance, my gay friends like me just fine the way I am.

I wanted to use the title "Coolest Fag in the World" in order to incite people to comment and it seems to have worked. I think that this is an interesting case as it clearly illistrates an intersection of men's rights issues. Men have the right to be gay, whether they "choose" it or not. Men have the right to serve in the millitary whether society likes it or not. And finaly, men have the right to a fair trial whether feminists like it or not.
Adding to this, I think that gay ment have it much harder in the military than do lesbian women.

It's not a choice... a friend of mine 'came out of the closet' some years ago. He had had a girlfriend before, but that was just him trying to be 'normal'... that didn't do it for him though (and she was neither ugly, nor of nasty character). Since then he has found a boyfriend, and they've been living together for several years now. You can call them sodomites all you want Zub, but they have one of the most stable, relaxed relationships among all couples in my circle of friends. And they are not 'in your face' gays either, you won't see them walking around in pink thongs screaming gay pride. They actually hate that kind of thing.

I'm not straight by choice. The thought of kissing a man repels me. Whether that is through social conditioning or biology, I don't know. Biology I think, as most of my friends and family have absolutely no problem with gays. I could choose one day to give up on women though, the MGTOW thing, but not choose to become gay. That would only work for bisexuals.
