Coke led to rape claims
From 2007: Coke led to rape claims
A 31-year-old Oldbury man who supplied cocaine to a young woman which resulted in her wrongly accusing him of rape has been put behind bars for 28 months.
Judge Nicholas Webb told Aaron Bittles he had supplied the 19-year-old with four lines of cocaine that lead to her behaving in a "totally unusual and out of character manner".
He said Bittles had not foreseen the reaction the controlled drug would have on the woman as he added: "She accused you of rape when you had not committed the offence.
"That is a fact," he ruled at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Friday October 19 but he stressed the supply of cocaine was so serious only a custodial sentence was appropriate.
Mr Anthony Bell defending Bittles, of Hartlebury Road, said there were no indications the cocaine would have had such an effect on the young woman.
"He supplied her with cocaine - she wanted more but he refused,"said Mr Bell. "She then became distressed and made the allegations that were tried by a jury."
Mr Bell maintained the fact the woman reacted so badly to the cocaine was something that could not be "laid at the door" of Bittles.
He said Bittles, who admitted two charges of supplying cocaine, was a man with previous convictions but nothing involving drugs or sexual offences Bittles had denied rape and two other sexual offences against the woman but he was found not guilty at the end of his trial at the Crown Court.Subscribe to my accounts on DocStoc, Scribd, Twitter and YouTube.

Re: Coke led to rape claims
If ever there were a case of jailing the wrong person, this is it!
Anyone who's ever taken cocaine knows that it doesn't alter your sense of reality so profoundly as to make you unaware of, oh, I don't know... Whether you were RAPED OR NOT. If anything, cocaine heightens your senses and awareness. There's no excuse for what she did.
Firstly, cocaine should not be illegal; no more illegal than alcohol. Secondly, she made a false rape-allegation; she should be sent to prison.
That guy will never travel abroad again. There's no fucking justice in the world.youtube.com/user/WizardKing78

Re: Coke led to rape claims
Uh, I'll go as far to agree with this women should be sent to prison, but cocaine IS a harmful drug. I mean I might be a hypocrite as I wish to legalize marijuana since there is no evidence whatsoever that shows it's harmful (I've even seen studies that say it's helpful in many cases), but cocaine is something that ruins peoples' lives, much like alcohol. It's addictive and over a long period of time can hurt your body.
Anyway, on to the subject at hand, not only should this woman be jailed for lying, but also be jailed for taking cocaine. Seriously, it was retarded of her to scream rape when something like cocaine was involved. It's like this one woman who called the police to report someone stole her weed.
