Charlotte rape, carjacking claim was a lie

A woman who claimed she was carjacked and raped in South
Punta Gorda Heights was lying, according to Charlotte County
deputies.

The 21-year-old woman reportedly told investigators she was
leaving a party in the South Punta Gorda Heights area and got
lost around 2 a.m.

She claimed she stopped to ask a man for directions, but that
man punched her in the face and then carjacked her.

The story continued that he took her to a wooded area in South Punta Gorda Heights, raped her and then took the vehicle.

The car – which is owned by her mother – was found wrecked in the woods very close to the place where she attended the party.

It sustained front-end damage, a broken windshield and the airbag deployed.

Deputies almost immediately noticed inconsistencies in the tale.

They have not yet said if the woman will be charged for filing the false report.

The sheriff's office has decided not to release her name until their investigation is complete.

Oh really now... wonder if the same decision would have been appled if she had actually named the supposed man? hmmm?

Furthermore, inconsistancies? Are you effing kidding me? this is so tellingly obvious! She was drunk, she crashed the car and tried to use the tried and true (or is that tired) safe-haven exclusive only to women... rape! - to put the blame anywhere but where it belonged!

Gimme a freaking break!
