The female role in sexual offenders | |
Research taken from the book 'The Garbage Generation' shows the extent that women are involved in the making of a sex offender.
Los Angeles Times 16/12/1986, reported that according to researchers at the North Florida Evaluation & Treatment Centre............. 'The pattern of the child molester is characterised by a singular degree of closeness and attachment to the mother. Child molesters have a stronger relationship to their mothers during childhood than that of rapists. Whereas, the general pattern with both groups is characterised by a lack of fathering, the pattern of the child molester is characterised by a singular degree of closeness and attachment to the mother. 83% of this group claimed to have had a close or very close relationship with their mother.
Michael Petrorich and Donald Temper, "Heterosexual Molestation of Children who later became Rapists (Psychological Reports)................................
49 of 83 (59%) of the rapists had been heterosexually molested. Of these, 12 had been so molested by two or more females for a total of 73 cases of heterosexual molestation. In 56 (77%) of these cases, the molesting person did so on more than one occasion. The ages ranged from 4-6 years. The ages of the older persons ranged from 16-54 years. Note that in 15 (21%) of the cases the woman who molested had a special mission to nurture, counsel or protect.

As families have broken down, rape has become an increasing frequent crime. In a recent survey of 108 rapists - all of them repeat offenders - researchers found that a sizable majority of 60% came from single parent homes. Single parent households account for 60% of those rapists described as sadistic and nearly 70% of those described as exploitive. Exploitive rapists display the most antisocial behaviour in adolescence and adulthood, while sadists are marked by both more aggressive and more deviant sexual activity. Among rapists motivated by displaced anger fully 80% came from single parent homes, and over half were foster children.
