An Analysis of Reasons for the Disparity

An Analysis of the reasons for the Disparity in wages between Men and Women
Containing a foreword by the department of labor
A Report by CONSAD research corp

    Source
    FOREWORD
By the U.S. Department of Labor

During the past three decades, women have made notable gains in the workplace and in pay equity, including increased labor force participation, substantial gains in educational attainment, employment growth in higher paying occupations, and significant gains in real earnings.

    Go on, have a look.

    Greed is for amateurs.
Knowledge without wisdom is a load of books on the back of an ass.
Scorn and mockery towards men in need is one of the reasons feminism is dying as we speak!.

They specialize in research - and they can't find where it's been proven over and over again that the wage gap is a myth?

What with that foreword by the Dept. Of Labor and all, they want to make it "official".

Re: An Analysis of Reasons for the Disparity

How about some stats on industries employing almost exclusively men, such as construction or oilfield work, where long-term professionals are virtually unemployable due to economic changes? A man with no job at all is definitely making less than a woman who has one.

How about programs like WIC (WOMEN, Infants and Children) that render income exclusively to women where no parallel for men even exists?

How many men collect the child support that is owed them, and how many women are persecuted and prosecuted for not paying it?

How about men kicked out of their homes and the subsequent improvement in the woman's tax and welfare status?

How about men who can only find work in female-dominated fields like retail and banking and education, where sexual harassment and open bigotry are a daily working condition, and their only option is to be unemployed?

How about men denied their driving privileges and imprisoned over child-support issues, while the tally continues to add up each month and is due and payable for life regardless of circumstances?

Et cetera, et fucking cetera. No wonder I resist paying income taxes to fund this pack of lies, and the perqs coming to those who perpetrate them.

I'm so sick of the accusations. Apparently being white and male exempts one from innocence until proven guilty, and I have been bombarded all my life with propaganda about how people like me are responsible for all the evil in the world. If I weren't such a nice guy I would tell the people spreading this vicious deception for their own purposes to get a life and shut the fuck up. If it keeps up I may start to anyway...

Nothing wrong with "nice guys" getting angry when it's justified.

Re: An Analysis of Reasons for the Disparity

I have to say, maybe we're all overreacting.

After the head of steam over this "wage gap" crapola went down, I went on to read the entire foreword.

At its close it says that in truth, there may be nothing to correct, and gives some pretty good reasons for that.

Read carefully, this really is a document that would piss off my feminist ideologue acqauintances over at the Harvard Business Review blog site (from which I am apparently under total blackout at the moment, for having strongly and rationally and continually critiqued the onslaught of feminist propaganda they retch out) much more than my buddies here at AM. The wage gap myth is a total icon over at HBR.org, and author after author puts out tracts on how hard it is for women to get promoted, strategies women can use, how women can network their ambitions, etc, etc. Never once in almost a year of blogging there have I seen a single article with the word "men" in the title, or one specifically targeting male issues in the business environment, and the feminist birdcage liner material comes out about every eight to ten days.

But here we have a government document actually agreeing with what many of us have been saying all along: it's not so simple as some raw injustice, and a closer look shows plenty of good reasons for the illusory and much-misread facts feminists love to throw in our faces and reenforce their victim self-definitions with.

Closing quote from the above-named document:

"Although additional research in this area is clearly needed, this study leads to the unambiguous conclusion that the differences in the compensation of men and women are the result of a multitude of factors and that the raw wage gap should not be used as the basis to justify corrective action. Indeed, there may be nothing to correct. The differences in raw wages may be almost entirely the result of the individual choices being made by both male and female workers. "

Hey girls, they said it, not me...
