Well, it does actually say that (unintentional) discrimination still exists, but it's not as bad as the myth suggests. I expect that a few years from now women will earn more than men for doing the same job, and maybe that's just as well, because it would at least shut them up.

Of course they will soon find something else to whine about.

The good thing about this article is that it contains this:-

"To the average person, that ratio gives the false impression that any woman working is at risk of being paid 24 cents less per dollar than a man in the same position.

But all the wage-gap ratio reflects is a comparison of the median earnings of all working women and men who log at least 35 hours a week on the job, any job. That's it.

It doesn't compare those with equal work, equal training, equal education or equal tenure. Nor does it take into account the hours of overtime worked.

The wage gap, in short, "is a good measure of inequality, not necessarily a measure of discrimination," said Heidi Hartmann, president of the Institute for Women's Policy Research."

The femnags don't quote this during there spells (waking hours) of incessant whining!

I sure do, considering the claim is an outright feminist fabrication and has been thoroughly debunked many times. I can't believe people still fall for this nonsense. Essentially any gender disparity in earnings is the result of choices, maternity breaks, career decisions, an unwillingness to commit 60-80hour weeks, a consistency in job history etc to name a few. Basically it's about the choices men and women make.


Warren Farrell Ph.D. http://www.warrenfarrell.com/ was once a member of NOW (national organisation of women) and elected three times to the Board of Directors back in the seventies. He also wrote the excellent book 'why men earn more' which provided the catalyst for many other neutral bodies too duplicate his findings.

He said back then, when the feminists were touting $.59 for every dollar a man makes, and he even wore the badge. However he realised the figures didn't add up, and like the vast majority of feminist statistics he realised they were seriously flawed. The rest is history as they say.

Anyway here are some links to provide a "balance" to the ridiculously fallacious and tiresome claims of feminists - which predictably disintegrate under the scrutiny of empirical evidence and peer review.

If your prepared to keep an open mind, and not be afraid of what you may uncover, which might ask some probing questions of what you have "learned" thus far - then proceed. However, when you realise something you've been told is a lie. Then as a logical extension that should call into question, the validity of everything else you have been told by that person/s, group or organisation. Shouldn't it?
