One of these puppies is set to be neutered real soon and the guy at the sales desk is rather disturbed by it. While it didn't bother me initially it did get me thinking. Now I know that the owners obviously want to do what they feel is best for their puppy and I respect that, but the distraught demeanor of the coworker got me thinking about my masculinity. I having never been around dogs don't know what neutering does, but I assume it "tames" them a bit like gelding a horse. Would I be the person today I am if I had no balls. Has neutering always been widely accepted or is an on and off thing that is done throughout history like human male castration? Are there other solutions to "male" competitiveness or is this it? I want your take on this before going to the almighty google and seeing its results.
