I see women enjoying the freedom to be police officers and in the military but I also see abortion rights being critisized and women complaining they can't be stay at home moms because their husbands don't make enough. So is feminism more controversial today than it was forty years ago?

I've yet to see any feminist fight for women to sign up for selective service (as men have to do at 18), fight for equal sentencing for the same crimes (still heavily negatively biased toward men), fight for the end of male circumcision (they claim they don't because female circumcision is worse), fight for more men in middle management (females outweight men there), fight for the the equality of custody rights (women get full custody 60% of the time while men get it 25% of the time, lawyers often advise men not to fight for full custody because in many of those cases women claim sexual abuse ). So feminists claim all the time they are for equality but it appears they are simply fighting for female self interest, period. I think it was JP Morgan that said (paraphrasing): "there are 2 reasons people do something. The first is that it sounds good, the 2nd reason is the real reason." Does this apply to feminists?I see lots of feminists spinning on here. No where did I mention combat roles in the military, Feminists have been pushing that because there exist women in the military THAT WANT to serve in combat (most don't according to studies BTW but there are some that do). No woman wants equal sentencing than men or forced selective service roles. Of course there is negative societal bias against women which feminists should fight against. But to say they are for equality of the sexes when they are for self interest is ridiculous.

Even "all the relatives of both Carloses mistook them," and DeLuna was sentenced to death and executed based only on eyewitness accounts despite a range of signs he was not a guilty man, said law professor James Liebman.
