All Hail the Patriarchy Did I actually say that??? Yep, I'm sick of mincing around the issue. The fact is, society should be a patriarchy, it was meant to function that way, and I for one, salute the patriarchy. My religion is a perfect example of a patriarchy. Men are considered heads of the home, the main leardership of the church can only be male, special blessings and rites can only be performed by men....it is the personification of a patriarchy. I know, I know, how terrible, how horrible. These awful men, oppressing their women...the fact is, I know no place where women are treated better. Husbands treat their wives with the greatest care and respect...and no, I'm not referring to the kind of care you'd administer to a child or an invalid. I'm talking about the kind of care that exists when a man and a women truly become one and truly love and respect one another. There is no competition in this kind of relationship because everybody has their place. You don't see the power struggles that rip most marriages a part. People that truly understand a patriarchy understand that it is not synonymous with male oppression. As women, our opinions and thoughts are sought and respected as much as the mens. I'd venture to say more so than in most relationships because, in my opinion, there is so much more mutual respect. I know people's heads will explode on this next one, but men do better in positions of power. Most women simply do not have the ambition and drive to do well in these postitions, and when they do possess it, it seems to me they have to acquire it at the expense of other attributes, such as kindness, compassion and human decency (see Hilary Clinton). Women and men each have their niches, things they are each inherently good at, this is what a patriarchy is designed to compliment. It's not some evil empire created to keep women down. It's a divinely inspired system to best benefit men, women, the family and society. I know in my religion there are a few women who struggle with the fact that it is a patriarchy. I, however, have never felt like I was considered anything less by being a women. Sure I can't hold certain callings, the same goes for the men. There is an organization within designed especially for women that the men don't hold positions in. Women are not allowed to hold what we consider to be the authority of God (sorry if the religion's getting deep here, but stick with me, I am making a point). I'm not bothered by this because I've been entrusted with something just as sacred and valuable. I've been given the duty of giving birth to and raising children. Good heck, how could I feel belittled with that immense responsiblity? Patriarchy is not an institution of repression, but one of organization. For any institution to run effectively, everyone needs a place where they can excel and perform to the best of their abilities. This is the function of the patriarchy. If you need an example to back what I say, look around at the state of society today, see what's happened since we decided to abandon a patriarchy. Yep, it's quite a mess. Bugger the 'Patriarchy'. It has been buggered by Woman - in general - and feminazis in particular. Now they have made their bed, they should lie in it. The 'Patriarchy' never existed. It was a 'long con'. By women. The 'power' men had was manipulated by women so that women could have everything they wanted and blame men as well. Men did all the work, took all the responsibility, provided for the women, copped all the shit and the shit jobs, and the woman made out that men had freedom. Hah! Equality of pain, that's what I say. Let the women be equal -but really equal. Let the women do the shit jobs. Let the women be responsible for collecting the garbage, building roads, bringing home the bacon to feed men between the men's sports mornings and whisky tasting afternoons. Let the women fill the body-bags and the veterans hospitals. Let them do the building of houses and the climbing of telegraph poles in the friggin' rain and sleet. Me? I will sit back and criticise. I can say, "And where have YOU been", in that accusatory tone when they come home knackered at seven o'clock, just as well as they can. I will lie back and think of Midsommer Norton while they do all the work squirming away on top of me, bringing me to my well deserved orgasms. At least three before they dare have one for themselves. And that's after they have rearranged the furniture, done the dishes, mowed the lawn and cleaned the friggin' gutters. I do like to be turned on by women at work. It reminds me of a friend many years ago who's car stopped and refused to start. It was at a traffic light. The woman in the car behind sounded her horn. She honked for a whole minute while my friend tried to start his car. Eventually he got out and walked back to the 'honker' and tapped on her window. "I'll tell you what", he said, "You go and start my car for me and I'll sit here and honk your fucking horn for you" Go back to the Patriarchy, Kim? Too late. Your turn in the barrel. I have tried all my life to leave the place better than I found it. But there are 6 billion other buggers out there messing it up. I am outnumbered. But... YOU don't just make a difference, you make THE difference. ![]()

"I'll tell you what", he said, "You go and start my car for me and I'll sit here and honk your fucking horn for you" Lol! I'll have to remember that one! Midsommer Norton. Wasn't that the place where the "Slow and Dirty" railway terminated? Run Forrest RUN!

We all still live in a patriarchy, it's just that the patriarchy has now morphed in to a manginarchy with the state now the head of the family, and because women have the right to vote, the manginarchs do nothing but pander to them!!! The sooner we tell the state to go and get the fuck out of our lives, the sooner we will live in a proper patriarchy, and things will go back to being balanced. The state needs to fuck off out of our homes. The state needs to only allow one vote per house hold. If these things are done, the patriarchy comes back in its original form almost instantly, and things will be awesome for both men and women. Stupid bitch feminist just can't stand the thought of this though of course. They crave nothing more than to be like poor immitations of men, and it's sickening!! Men compete with each other, and do NOT want to compete against women!! That's not how evolution designed us!!

And Kim, be careful what you wish for. Although patriarchs like myself will be protective and benevolent, be prepared to be put in your place when you step out of line. If you don't want this, you don't really want the patriarchy to come back fully.

Those days are over really. Until men get pissed enough to turn it around we will continue to live in the state of choas. To many young men who defend a womans right to be a liberated gold digging, home wrecking whore. Thomas Jefferson once said "It takes time to persuade men to do even what is for their own good." Feminuts are stupid, throw some common sense at them. They won't know what hit them.

Sam Keen on Patriarchy From Fire in the Belly, on Being a Man, by Sam Keen, Bantam Books, 1991 (P-196) “Ideological feminism, by contrast, is animated by a spirit of resentment, the tactic of blame, and the desire for vindictive triumph over men that comes out of the dogmatic assumption that women are the innocent victims of a male conspiracy. Perhaps the best rule of thumb to use in detecting ideological feminism is to pay close attention to the ideas, moral sentiments, arguments, and mythic history that cluster around the notion of “patriarchy.” “Patriarchy” is the devil term, the code word for the evil empire of men, the masculine conspiracy that has dominated human history since the time of the fall. All the great agonies of our time are attributed to the great Satan of patriarchy. The rule of men is solely responsible for poverty, injustice, violence, warfare, technomania, pollution, and the exploitation of the Third Wold.”

Both go to work and both want to come home and relax as they had prior to marriage but then each wants the attention for having a hard day and each wants love at the same time from the other. It becomes a competition. All of a sudden the male starts coming home later or spends time playing sport or out with mates. She gets pissed off and them throws him out. OK, so it isn't just like this but you can get the picture. Who should rule? Who should be more important and in what situations? None of that makes sense to me. And then look at FS. He thinks he is getting a slave. Men will never rule in a marriage. Unless he has her on some remote island locked up in a cage. He will live in fear of what she will do to him if given the chance. One inch given and she will turn on him. Men cannot control women. Your view of a Patriarchy is a Bible version. It is a man's responsibility to take care of his family and he should feel and be confident enough to make decisions. But he should also listen to what his wife has to say. Yet his wife is to know that he may not make the decision based on her view and she should support that. That to me is just wise words. If you knock a man down enough he will shut down. Women must give confidence. That is how he will grow and be a good provider. That is how he will sacrafice his life for his wife and children. And in turn he will fuss over her. She will have all she wants. Patriarchy saying that only men should have high positions and women have low positions is not what happens in any religions. Because whose view are we considering to decide what is a high position and what is a low position. Is raising children a low position? Anyhow, I hope this isn't going over like I am against you because not by any means. I thing you have a lot of wisdom to share. Ignorance is the Oppressor, Vigilance the Liberator.
