Asexualization of Asian Men in the Media

This is a concern for me for at least two reasons. First, I am a white man who is attracted to Asian women. Not exclusively, I would consider dating women of any race but I do have a preference for East Asians (what used to be called "Orientals" before a small but noisy group identity politicking professional victims insisted that nice, pleasant sounding word was a slur; Such people are mainly what I'm referring to when I say Asian here, the stereotypes apply less to men from India, and not at all to Arabs and Persians - who have a "bad boy" image). If I ever get married, which I might do if laws can be reformed to make marriage safe for men again (i.e. if divorce laws are ever restored to the point of providing some sense of balance and justice, or if judges are at least forced to honor pre-nuptial agreements). more likely than not it would be to an Asian woman, particularly a Filipina. I don't want Asian men to see me as the enemy. I know some will anyway, but a lot fewer would if they were able to get dates both with women of other races and with women of their own race. The second reason this is a concern is that as one who is naturally a beta/nice guy, though I am working to overcome that, I can sympathize with the vast numbers of Asian men who are put in the "friend zone." Many Asian men have to work doubly hard on their Game to have any success in dating because they are often assumed to be betas even when they are not. I think many of us here can identify with this to some extent. Plus this could be a good way to recruit more Asian men into the MRM.

Note I am not calling for censorship, at least not in the literal sense meaning restrictions on speech imposed by government. I am strongly opposed to that. I do think that we could use economic pressure (i.e. threat of boycotts of media companies and sponsors) or at least letter writing campaigns to such companies, which many of us have been involved with already regarding portrayals of men in general. I understand that this will not be a priority for everyone here, but give it some thought.

Well, white men aren't portrayed as idiots in the media? I always crack up when I see a movie with a black engineer and a white criminal. Anyway, it's not just the media, it's just that Asian men are really the bottom of the barrel and yes, any man with balls wouldn't share his women and it's not just about them finding dates, it's really about the self-preservation of their ethnic group.

And another thing, due to selective abortions of girls, there are a lot more men than women, so sharing them would become even harder.

Not only are these orientals damned inscrutible but there are a lot of them. Many of the women are unrootable as well as inscrutable because the men outnumber them considerably and they get snapped up PDQ. They have a lot of monasteries in the East where the guys just fight amongst themselves.

You do know that there are many different countries in Asia, right? And that the practice you stated above was predominant specifically in China and not the whole region?

To be fair RV, the bolded text was directed at Percy. And although I find abortion, including selective abortion, abhorrent, I think it's important to note that boys were/are preferred in China not because they are deemed superior as a sex - but because they are more financially productive to those parents restricted to one child.

This isn't a patriarchal imposition on Chinese women, but a communist/socialist one.

I didn't imply that Chinese people abort girls because they find them horrible beings due to their sex. I know why they're doing it and I agree with you.

That is just not possible.

I am English.

Only non-English people can be racists.

And I am Australian too. The mildest, most welcoming folk in the world with more races than you can shake a stick at. (It is they who shake sticks at us usually though).

As for sexist, even RV likes me a little. I have only one sexist boner in my body. Viscount the Honourable Percy is rather partial to nice ladies.

How is racism most severe in China when your comment is "it's just that Asian men are really the bottom of the barrel"? That's not racism in China, that's not racism in South Korea, that's racism coming from you, an individual.
