Years ago, as a student, I was at a small train station in Scotland, swearing under my breath whilst waiting for a train to finally deign to turn up.
It was winter, very early in the morning and bloody freezing, and I wanted to warm up in the waiting room rather than stand on the platform. However, there was only one such room and it had a big sign on the door saying This Waiting Room is for Women Only.
I guess that was so the poor darlings didn't get scared by having an awful male within 50-metres of them.
I arrogantly strode in and sat down in the waiting room anyway, although as it was completely empty I unfortunately didn't get the chance to piss any women off.
At least it was warm though.
Out of the gloom a voice spake unto me. 'Smile and be happy, Things could get worse."
So I smiled and was happy, and behold... Things did get worse.
I think i've been to that same one, though i'm sure i wasn't in Scotland when i saw the same/a similar one...
I used to note specifically which shops/stores had refrained from enabling fathers to change their baby's clothes & diapers. I complained to Mothercare in an email, and was given the excuse that they wouldn't change their name as it was a well respected brand-name, even though they had considered doing so. And that they welcome men into their shop, even if they only employ females (they said that the local shop must be a rare one as they employ many men) and refuse to allow a father to change his baby's clothing without the assistance of some spotty 15 yr old gimp on work experience (there's a sign on the baby-changing door insisting men request help), and even if they only had 3 pages out a 250page catalogue showing men with a child/baby, and despite....oh the list just goes on, but you get the idea.
