Wow!

I woke up this morning and AM is now safe for a good number of months

Thank you all - really..

It's moments like these where I get to see the silent appreciation you all have for the site... Being the founder/admin I only tend to get emails from one of two sorts; those lurkers who just want to say "thanks for the site, it opened my eyes (or reinforced me)/let me see I'm not alone." or the "I'm a feminist and I nearly died reading your site, I can't read now because of the tears in my eyes boo hoo"... and they're both excellent to read - but to see people actually chipping in when my chips are down - it really speaks volumes.

We have a pretty good team here.
If the chips are down, I'd like to think we'd "come to the party", as it were, for a mate in trouble.
It is what we do and hopefully we have given you some sort of relief from money issues.

A note to folks though, a small amount of money here and there would negate the need for threads like this to even happen.

If you post on this site frequently, you should at least flick some cash, Marx's way, to help run it.

I feel bad Next month when I am less broke I will absolutely donate.

For those who can't or won't make a larger donation but do wish to help out on some financial level, you can put in as little as 2.50 per month (works out to about $4-$5 USD) using the paid subscriptions function from your control panel. Supporters have limited or no ads.

The forum is undoubtedly excellent and unique value to all it's subscribers. So props to all the members who donated. How much we achieve with so little resources is a wonder in itself! And long may it not only continue, but grow exponentially as the population develops a craving for the red-pill.

Unfortunately, we don't have the resources of the UN feminist gravy train at our disposal, things would be totally different if we had THAT sort of funding.

You and I both know that that would never happen though, simply because any money that goes towards MEN's causes is instantly labelled as misogynist and you get the whining and complaining.

The state is never going to be interested in supporting "mens issues" like they are with "womens issues" because men are of course the power houses that create the wealth in the first place.. The only times that they will support "mens issues" is when they dove-tail nicely into the many "womens issues" and the good old femistatist ways..

Keeping men working hard, harvesting their labour via taxes and directly, is what the state and the elites are wanting to ensure..

If the state will never help us this begs the question WHY and if the answer is what you have given, should we not then simply give up and stop fighting and live on our knees?

Thus we know what the problems we facing are, what we need to look for are answers and a way out!

And getting back to the theme of this line of posts - DONATIONS - if most people donated the price of a beer a month to AM, Marx would not have to ask people for such help - in fact it is WE who owe him for creating this site and keeping it running so well (-:

I think a problem people may have with donations is "how to do it" and fears of security.
Slightly over a year ago I started a rolling donation - (which is around the price of a beer) each month. I can say that there were no security issues, its done via paypal (like you would use on ebay) and each month i get an email which states if I want i can stop my donation (thus I have a very easy "get out" option).

I would urge everyone to donate to this site - even that price of a beer once a month would add up, if most of us "long term users" did it - and as a bonus once you finacially support AM the adverts dissapear (-:

I dont think you quite understood what I meant Richard.. The state will only "help men help women and kids (after the state!)".. It isnt particularly interested in "mens issues"..

For example, if you look at the equal parenting campaigns, they actually fit in very nicely to the femistatist dream model..

So, the state would LIKE that model to be working, as much as possible..

But, its not really good for men.. it is primarily beneficial to the state, men in fact end up paying several times over as they take on additional responsibilities and subsidise mothers even more..

Giving up and living on your knees is not the way..
