How to set up a forum

I had a plan for a new host and to make a forum but the plan was 'get a man to do it'.

It was an unforeseen plan with an offer made (friend's persuasion) instead of an ask but after a month of waiting, I realised it wasn't going to happen. I put this down to the man learning a lesson my ex had to learn and that is to say, "No!".

Busy people are often sort after people and they get harassed to say, "Yes" which means people they want to help often get let down. He hasn't contacted me since I txt him to say, "I think you are too busy to help, so I will do it myself" but I want to phone him when I have things sorted and laugh about it.

Perhaps my txt could have been written better but I was also asking if he needed to provide me with any work in progress.

Anyways.... Oh, gosh. I now want the forum and I have paid for a new hosting plan under godaddy.

Can you please give me ideas as to what forums are worth while? I mean free forums to use.... just names would be good and I will look them up on the net.

Julie, if we PM I will help you... I'll need to know what software you're using and you'll have to have various details to hand (access details, server information, database details, etc. etc.)
