Ice truckers is boring, deadliest catch is worth a view. I would do either if I lived in the area and needed cash. Risky but worth the risk. Too old to be an Ax-men. And now we turn to the poor little disadvantaged female who slaves away for minimum wages without benefits. Nice little mancunt to point to this as if there aren't any guys working in low paying jobs with no benefits. i bet this guy never worked a real job. My son is 20 and the jobs for males are sad. Fast food jobs aer common for his age group. All his friends struggle to find anything over $7.00 an hour. Benefits? No way. College will get you a 65+ hour mgmt job if you're a white male. Some women can change jobs like underwear and nobody questions their work history. i was a housewife, who cares? You hired. AA in action. In my early 20's I took a carpenter job with no benefits other than hourly pay. I risked my fingers near the skill saw and my neck at heights up to 3 stories in extreme heat and cold weather. Regularly I got blisters, splintered hands, cuts, bruises, muscle aches and once knocked out due to falling beam. No insurance, no paid time off, no vacation and a dollar more than minimum wage. I loved the job but the benefits sucked and I worked my way to a foreman with no raise.. No, I don't even care to hear about some poor department store worker. . Thomas Jefferson once said "It takes time to persuade men to do even what is for their own good." Feminuts are stupid, throw some common sense at them. They won't know what hit them.

And why must the show be about a woman making minimum wage I made minimum wage working at a cattle auction. A show about a man making minimum wage at an auction would at least have exitement and humor. But no it must always be about some poor woman stuck in a mundane worker we should all be thinking of ways to rescue her from her mundane life because as a woman she deserves it. The men who work mundane jobs can fend for themselves though. Chevalier. "no greater love hath a man than to lay down his life for his brother."

for me deadliest catch is one of the best tv progs out there ... the pay has to wiegh against the risk of injury or death not to mention the weeks of hardship on the bearing sea, there is also the risk of a poor season and then the money is not so good ... attempting to compare this with checkout work is pathetic beyond belief.

"They seem to ask. We've got a theory: money, and lots of it. Want to see a really dangerous job? How about a woman working for minimum wage at a big-box retail store who can't afford health insurance? Marvel as she scans groceries, aggravating the carpal tunnel for which she can't go to a doctor. It might not be as visually compelling a show, but it would certainly be more relevant." only the feminits can beat up a stupid wimins life as a virtue doesn't the labour market pay you what you are worth or does this only apply to dumb men

i have always had good paying jobs but the danger was always there.I believe injuries to a bush worker were 3x as high as the next most dangerous job on the list-any day-any weather from -40 to +40 -brutally hard work-u get paid for what u do peacework -from stepping knee deep in a bees nest to severely cutting your self with a powersaw or getting hit with a chico(widowmaker)-a standing dead tree. There are ten thousand ways to die or get hurt in the logging industry.Every day could be your last. From heat exhaustion to frost bite you don't get paid till the wood is out. There were saftey policies such as never working alone-knowing emergency first aid(very much needed). Back injuries were the leading cause of injuries due to the heavy lifting, carrying, pulling, swinging, jumping and speeding to make more $$$. I have yet to see a woman last more than a few days at this type of job but "hey"its THEIR choice to do it or not. I wonder if you can even break a sweat working at a check-out counter? u get paid for what you do-male or female it is the type of work(hard, dangerous) your willing to risk for the $$$ you want to make.

So TV shows about men doing dangerious jobs and making them seem heroic is wrong? Instead they should show women in the checkout? How are these comparable? How many checkout-releated accidents are there each year? I personally believe that anyone who goes out to work an works hard for there money weather they scan food, lay bricks or stitch up broken people deserves respect. But mostly only dangerous jobs are going to be exciting enough to go on TV.

IMO Deadliest Catch is some sort of mind crack. If you have watched more than a couple episodes, they are all basically the same exact thing over and over. However, whenever I happen to click past this show, I invariably end up watching a couple episodes and getting sucked in...
