I have sitting with me right now 2 males that have been to prison falsely.
First males name is Ron and he is a father of 4 children and 1 step child being a girl.
Ron says,
I looked after my step daughter since she was 4 until she was 16. And I found the anguish between looking after her from her mother's point of view annoying. She crashed out of school and went into the Government's care. And then decided to take drugs and today her brain is literally fried from the use of 'P'. I still treat her like her a daughter although I had always expected her mother to care for her.
When she was 16, getting into dope and being with the wrong peers at her school I had an unusual episode with her.
What actually happened was she went into the bathroom and wanted to dye her hair red. She walked down the corridor dropping red dye on the white carpet. I stood at her bedroom door and said, "You have to clean this up." She walked past me and gave me a shunt and so I kicked her up the arse. Not hard but more of a concern for the house.
I went to court being charged with assault from her mother and I pleaded guilty since I didn't want to drag my step daughter through the system. I got 5 months imprisonment for that.
But on another note. I was one of the first men in NZ to gain full custody of all my children through the Family Court.
Nathan's story. Nathan has no children but is married.
Nathan says,
I married a Fijian Indian wife. She had applied for residency and was knocked back because the laws have become tougher. I wasn't aware of this and one day out of the blue I was arrested and jailed for "assault with a deadly weapon and threatening to kill her. " Her sister had gained residency by making a false charge of Domestic Violence through the women's refuge. My new wife was following in her footsteps.
I spent 4 months in prison before a lawyer was able to prove my innocence. I wasn't even at home on the day I was supposed to have done this offense.
I know this is nothing new to the
MRA as stories. But it is nice to share with other men what you are doing.
